Rock - Ya gotta get outta there

Rock:

I know that many of us here in the warmer climates truly do not have a comprehension of your winters. I got the following information from the Weather Channel site concerning Regina Saskatchewan.....

High Low Mean Avg. Precip.
Jan 12°F -7°F 2°F 0.60 in.
Feb 18°F -1°F 9°F 0.50 in.
Mar 30°F 11°F 21°F 0.70 in.
Apr 50°F 27°F 39°F 0.80 in.
May 65°F 39°F 53°F 2.00 in.
Jun 74°F 48°F 62°F 2.70 in.
Jul 79°F 53°F 66°F 2.30 in.
Aug 78°F 51°F 65°F 1.60 in.
Sep 65°F 40°F 53°F 1.40 in.
Oct 53°F 28°F 41°F 0.80 in.
Nov 32°F 13°F 23°F 0.50 in.
Dec 16°F -2°F 8°F 0.60 in.

Man - your Average High in January is Twelve??? Good God Man, you must go stircrazy there...

We need to plan your trip down here now - before you lose your mind...

It's not really all that different here in Connecticut. I live on the shorline so the freeze is usually 5 degrees or so warmer than it is just 50 miles north.

If you live in a cold climate you learn to adapt....wear lots of layers and learn to enjoy outdorr activities like snowmobiling, skating, skiing or ice fishing.

We've seen -77*F here a few years back. That's damn cold. Like, axles not turning on your car cold.

Winter's here suck, but the summer's are awesome......except this years. It was utter dog-shyte this year. I play rec hockey to keep my legs strong and my upper body active, so i'm pretty much in shape once the grass starts to show through.

And i'll tell ya, the last few springs i've played rounds where the course has been blown free of snow just to open earlier. It's kinda fun. Think of a course in Arizona, only snow with a golf course dropped on it instead of sand.

Hey, you guys should come up here during the summer. Temps are always sweet and the courses here are great. Plus, the american dollar kicks butt over the Canuck Peso.

Hey next year - I'll take ya up on it.

Went to Toronto two years ago for a convention. Great city and wow the USD went a long long way.

And with the daylight you have in the summer - on June 21st we could get in 54 holes....

Easily. I'm down with that. There's a course out here that offers all the golf you can play in one day for 35 bucks. And the course is pretty decent too. You get a free Hot Dog. Can't lose.

Sounds like the migration thing needs to go both directions. I don't want any part of -77 but wouldn't mind getting away from here come August with 100+ days & you can't beat a free hot dog. The weather man is finally talking highs in the 80s by the end of the week. It's about time. :sobbash:
