75 on the Ford's Colony course that opened here a few months ago. First time I had played it in a non-scramble format. If the greens had been as fast as what I am used to I think I might have parred this puppy.

Played yesterday and shot a 4 over 76, 8 out of 14 fairways, 10 greens and 32 putts, and today shot a 3 over 75 on the same course with 4 fairways, 13 greens and 34 putts, it was a boring 15 pars and 3 bogey round with 1 three putt on both days.

43 on the back of Pioneer. Started off nice with a birdie and two pars, but then fell apart. Nothing seemed to happen right, and I came home with a string of double bogeys.

Obviously no courses are open around here but I did hit the heated range at Vitense today. They have the field plowed but you still can't see any grass & between the yellow balls & the snow I had no idea how far anything went. Up in the air I could track the ball fine but as soon as it dropped the balls blended in with the snow.

At least I finally got to hit my 4w & I like it, feels like a solid club & with the stiff shaft I was hitting it dead nuts straight.

played at Arrowhead Point at Lake Russell (Ga)....pretty tough coarse, alot of water.....I dont want to talk about the front nine.....shot a 46 on the back and then played the front again and shot a 45........par 72 coarse....if I take the back nine and the 2nd front nine, I shot a 91....like I said before, I dont want to talk about the first front nine... I can live with boggie golf..

78, pis*ed off though!
Was a grind from start to finish - started off with 3 bogeys in a row, ouch! Finished by driving the green on a par four, then proceeding to fricking FOUR putt! Played to my new handicap, but unfortunately on our course that now means .1 added!

Gutted!

85-ish. Didn't keep score because I decided to walk, and burn off a couple thousand calories, instead. See, I'd like to get off the ST blubber train at some point...

It was a cartoon watching everyone play, though. I was playing with my father and two old guys we met out on the course. Neither of them could hit a long ball, and one of them couldn't break 120 (he topped the ball four times consecutively with his 3 wood after a perfect drive...with my driver). Beats what I did, though - one time my ball smacked a tree and came back, bouncing down the cart path, right back to us...

A 3 wood and long iron later, I'm right next to a portajohn which I know hasn't been cleaned out in a long time...

Made 5 from there, though.

42 on the front side of Willows. Spring has sprung (sort of).

Played much smarter than I used to - better course management, and I hit a lot more irons than usual (and it paid off, because it wasn't a spectacular short game day but I kept the ball in play the whole time).

51. And perhaps this picture would explain why. I scaffled my ball into every trap, tree, cart path, and shrub the course had to offer.

(I got it out... then went up to the cart, as I was coming back, slipped and got an ass full of mud. )

Played and finally kept up with the score on Sat. and Sunday mornings at my club. Saturday shot a 87 with a 44 and 43. Sunday shot an 87 with a 43 and 44. At least I am constant. I don't feel to bad since I feel like I am back to where i was at the end of last season. The months of December and January were not good. everything I hit was a shank during those two months.

I've turned in 5 rounds for handicap since the season "officially" began on March 14. I've played 2 other rounds, but in gale force winds that meant that the scores were not remotely representative of my normal round, so I didn't return those for fear of being accused of sandbagging. The five I sent in were: 84, 80 87, 83, and another 83 today. The ones I didn't turn in were a 95 and the second bad one I quit keeping score after the first 9 holes . Friday is the first handicap revision, and mine might drop slightly from it's current 13.2.
