What'd You Shoot Today?

I shot 20 under today.

The temp was 98 and I shot 78.

103. The course was 124 from the whites, and I had a pretty bad day to boot. It was also my first time playing that course. Water in play on every hole on the front. Made a crowd-pleasing 10 on a par 5, lost two sleeves, got dehydrated, and had a hell of a good time getting my head kicked in.

The upside is I love my new irons.

46. Played the back nine of The Willows for the first time in a while. God, that back nine tore me a new one. I forgot how severe the greens are there since the last time I played (I carded in a 37 then).

4/7 fairways, 3/9 greens, 21 putts. Ugh. I four-putted my only par 3 GIR.

39 on the front of Pioneer, par 34. My driving was outstanding - 280+ yards, down the middle of the fairway, and my misses weren't bad. Didn't have to use much ballstriking today, really, I'd reduced the place to a pitch and putt. Although I couldn't putt worth a lick. No birdies, although I did get up and down three times. I four-putted the sixth hole, a 300 yard par 4, after driving it close and pitching the ball to 10 feet. Ugh.

17 putts, 5/7 fairways, 4/9 greens.

I need to kick this thread back up. I need to hear stories of other people's suffering.

41 - 40 = 81. It was nasty in the middle six holes as I was 7 over on them. I did par the last 6. Not a very good score for me.

54, 53 = 107, par 71.
I've just started playing again after 5 year layoff.
This was my 5th round.
The first was pretty good - 102.
The middle three rounds were horrendous.
Today I started playing GOLF again.
The score looks pretty bad - but, I had a triple on the 1st, and another triple on the second, before I got my swing working. Other than that, it was mostly bogie - except another triple on the front, and a monumental septuple bogie on the par 5 10th. (That's 7 over, for a 12. Yeah, I said a 12).
I'm just thinking if I just had doubles for those 4 holes, I would have been 8 over for those holes instead of being 16 over, and would have shot 99.

33.. the burner is a beast. 4 consecutive Greens in 1... yes, i typed that correctly...

par 3 GIR, Par 4 drove green to 3 feet tap in eagle, par 4 drove green 4 putted, par 4 drove green 2 putt for birdie.

i had an eagle and 2 birdies in 9 holes..

43 -42 85 and 35 putts!! YUCK!! shot game killed me today along with every bounce going the oppsite i was hoping for

48 on the front nine of The Willows. Took a lot of ESC 7's today. Duck-hooked my drives, couldn't hit my irons, bladed my chips, whatever. You would've thought I was a 36+ hack out there today. Surprisingly though my 3 wood stepped up to the plate and made up where the driver was all over the place. I was hitting it long and straight (so what's wrong with the driver? I seem to close it off with the big dog but not the 3 wood...).

3/7 fairways, 2/9 greens (ugh), although I did chip in twice, got up and down once, totalled 14 putts.

78 At Tucson Muni.. not difficult wide fairways but it was a first time playing there.. Big greens.. like a club and a half difference from Front to back.. I was putting for birdie 8 times today.. how many did I make ... 1.. how many 3 putts... 2.. wow I need to practice putting

Shot a 48 in the rain on 9 holes. Played good but very difficult to putt on the soaked greens. Some drained okay, some held the water and the speed was impossible to judge. No 3 putts though!! And the driver and fairway woods or hybrids got NO roll whatsoever.

Shot a 48 today, felt a whole lot worse though. 17 putts total but's the complete & utter lack of any decent chipping that's screwing me. get near the green in 2 & then have 2-3 chips to actually get one was ridiculous. The only saving grace was the holes where I did that, I also managed to 1 putt. If I could figure out this one part of the game it would easily lower my score by 4-5 strokes per 9 holes.

Wasn't sure if my home course would even be open due to all the rain we had, they were but the fairways were soaking wet still as were the greens. Every sand trap is now a water hazard but at least the course was open. Lake Windsor CC reall got nailed, they have a creek running right through the property which is relatively all low ground anyways. Supposedly there was 2-3'.. yes that's right Feet ...of water on the fairways. Not sure how long that will take to dry out.
