74 and 76.

Hit the ball better the second round, but couldn't make a putt. Still won 5 bucks!

Shot an 80 this past sunday (new low ). The course is easy though:

Par 67
Yards: 5,071
Rating: 63.7
Slope: 108

My driving was ok, what saved were my good 2nd shots and putting. Made 2 birdies, the most I've ever made in 18 holes.

It's been almost 1 year since I've been playing this game (Aug. 29th). Hopefully by this time next year, I can break 80.

Terrible little 74 today.

Bogied 7 through 12 (except 10 which i birdied), parred up until 7 and birdied 15-16. 39-35 for the 74.

Hacked my way around the course sooo badly, great scrambling round.

Shot another 48, had 18 putts total of which only 1 was a 3 putt. Overall I shot rather well but still screwed up a couple of 20 yd chips. Drives were right down the fairways & I was hitting those well.

Finally getting a little more consistency on divots also. Before I was scooping the ball & while I still do that about 50% of the time, more & more I am making actual golf shots following through with a nice little divot. Tried one in the rough which didn't work out so well, the club pretty much just buried itself & stopped.

How bout a 50 and 40, lol. Took some big risks without reward on the front, carded an 8 on the 1st hole after trying a full 7iron punch cut through a 6ft. opening 30yds. in front of me. Yanked a 3W out of the rough and another off the tee OB. I parred 8 and 9 for the 50, ouch.

On the back I did a little better but still issues. Hit the green with a driver-5iron on a 325yd. hole, lol. Hit a couple of those last round as well, a pretty much topped drive, weird as I've not hit one of those in a long, long time.

Best hole was 17. I took my time and set up for a draw. It was only about a 1-2yd. draw but launched. Hit a 3/4 gap wedge in on the 386yd. par 4 and made the birdie off the back fringe.

Yesterday, in a dazzling display of brilliance, I shot 36 - 44 for an 80. That in and of itself wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that I was standing on the 12th tee even par and played the last 7 holes 8 over.

Played the front 9 of our 18 hole championship for our league. Play the back nine tonight. Shot 44 with a par on #1, Double bogie with a penalty from the tee on 3, and bogie on all the others. My putting saved my butt, with only 11 putts. Won 3 holes, and did not lose any. The guy I played against also took a penalty off the tee on 3 and we halved the hole. Our 4 man team leads in 3 matches and by a total of 6 strokes so it is looking pretty good going into tonight. Just happy I am doing well as the team we are playing is the only team I have not won against between the 2 halves of the season, having lost both matches in extra holes. To which I believe I was the only person to lose a match to them in either half and we only missed winning the second half of the season by 1 point, which would have avoided a playoff all together.

Prior to the match, I also managed to sell my old Ping i3+'s to a friend on our team, who's boss was looking for a set of clubs for his son. He had asked one of our other friends who just upgraded, but didn't feel the other clubs would be suitable. Became immediately interested when I said I had some Pings lying around in the attic for a good price, as that is what they play.

Made for a pretty nice evening.

Played 18 after work & carded a 91!!!!!
Didn't do so hot on the front 9 with a 50, but really managed to step it up on the back after I swapped drivers out & shot a 41. had no pars on the front but had 4 of them on the back along with 3 bogeys...we wont talk about the 3 double bogeys. Putting was decent & for some reason my chipping was awesome...to me anyways. I only had 3 holes where I had to chip twice & 2 of those were out of the sand....I was using a gap wedge since I currently dont have a SW & didn't feel like using the LW.

81 the other day over at The Willows. Best day of my life. Drove the ball well, stuck the irons close, chipped and putted like a madman. Everything came together.

Two things, though, why I know I pissed away a sub-80 round: shanked 7 iron on the par 3 second hole led to a double bogey, and I went bogey-bogey on the last two holes. I die very quickly without a supply of fizzy drinks on hand on a hot day. And it showed. Water alone causes my game to fall apart after like, 6 holes.

Played 2 different 9 hole courses yesterday. 1st one was a regulation course par 36, I ended up with a 46 & am semi-happy even though I completely screwed up the last 2 holes.

2nd course I played last night with my wife is a par 3 & you tee off those horrible practice mats on every hole. Shot a 35 which I am sorta ok with, hit 4 greens with my tee shots & the rest were either just off the side or dead straight but a tiny bit short.

Well I am just starting out and now have 3 9 holes under my belt. I took on another of the local 9 holers thats a par 31 and I shot a 38. I figure if I can average less than a bogey a hole I am on the right path

Well, eh, I shot a 42 on the front nine of Pioneer. Par 34. Drove the ball well. When I'm hitting driver, chip shot on most par 4's you can tell how far my tee balls are going. I chipped pretty good and putting was so-so, but my iron play just...died today. I don't think I hit one good iron or wedge shot (pitch) today...

5/7 fairways, 3/9 greens (ugh!), 19 putts.

Made my own posting on this but what the hell, I feel like crowing a little bit. 85 today....not sure if it really counts though since it's a 9 hole par 36 course & I played it through twice. Hell i'm counting it anyways

Gave up on the driver for the most part & used 3 & 5 woods...was really hitting the 5 great. Utilized course management to my advantage so my 2nd or 3rd shots on the par 5's were within my comfort zone.

I am super pumped right now, although my wife thinks i'm just goofy.
