Played a Four Ball match. We won 2 & 1. I made six pars to win holes. Mostly bogeys for the halves. Two holes that would have been ugly, but I picked up so I don't know what the score would have been. Played OK overall.

Shot a so-so 45 today for 9 holes. Driving was straight down the middle and long, but my iron play is still dead. Missed more than my fair share of greens, and had to scramble my ass off. Putting was so-so for me, with 23 putts (My putting game is horrid compared to the rest of my game - if I could get my shit together, and putt better, I could be scratch overnight), with 3 three putts and only 1 four putt.

That sounds like me prior to going to a sidesaddle putter. I'd frequently have 6-7 3 putt greens a round. It was miserable, I feel your pain.

I played a 36 Hole competition today. Par 69, Probably CSS 69 as well... I played crap in both of the rounds, but somehow ended up with Nett 67 in the first round (Down to 13 Handicap) and shot a Nett 72 in the second round, with a 7 down the last... Will be rounded down to a 6, for handicap, so I made Buffer.

played luttrellstown castle(where posh and becks got married) today pretty tough course 6812 yards off the whites 7347 of blues but because of the constant rain for the last week decided against playing off the blues..

course was a great condition consider the greens and fairways were immaculate but the rough was wet and sticky so if you were wayward you were in trouble..

shot 43-40 for an 83 (par 72)...driving was ok..a few bad ones irons ok but a few bad ones...chipping well and putting terrible..had 33 puts and missed about 4 inside 5 feet..only one 3 out though...

reasonable happy...one birdie on index one (1 foot tap in after a great drive and 8 iron).. 7 pars...8 bogeys and 2 doubles..feel i left about 5 or 6 shots out there so hoping for some good golf in the near future

Shot a 49+45 = 94 at Fox Run. Handicaps don't travel well there because woods are in play on every hole. When you hit into them, you either concede the ball is lost immediately, or if you're lucky, might be able to hack it out in three or four strokes. I played with my father, who has been one-upping me all summer. I shoot 95, he shoots 93. I shoot 91, he gets 89. I get 85, he gets 84, and so on. It's brutal, because he's killing me with his short game. I had a spectacular - for me - 34 putts (I am normally up in the 45 range), but he had 20-something...so you can probably figure out how the game turned out.

My improved putting today was offset by lost balls in the woods on the right of several holes. My good putting is largely in part due to my good iron play, which helped me save a lot of pars after bad drives, as well as decent chipping - not one skulled chip today, which is a personal record of sorts. I'd chip close enough to one-putt. Two-putt anyway, but no four putts today, and lord, no five putts.

Harding Park -- even par after 12, it got even windier and colder and I hopped on the bogey train. Finished with a 77. Summer in San Francisco

Another so-so round of 45 on the back of The Willows. I am suffering from an attack of...ahem, banana ball. Solid iron and wedge play is helping me stick it close, in a few cases all I had was a tap-in. I chipped in on the par-5 12th for a birdie, but followed it with an OB shot off 13 tee leading to a triple. Ugh.

Took a tip I read in Golf Digest about short putts - take a short backswing (only two or three inches) and speed up through the ball. I'm money within five feet now, only 16 putts, but the banana ball is holding me back now. (It's not outside-in, I've checked again and again.)

Shot a 77 (par 72) with a smooth four putt for double on the par 3 17th. Did salvage par on the 18th. Last week I was standing on the same 17th tee only one over for the round and managed to close double, double for 77 that time too. I have trouble some times thinking about where I am instead of where I am going late in a good round.

I shot a 84 at Gordon Lakes, the site of my next tourney in 2 weeks. No birdies. No 3 putts. I just couldn't hit any club in the bag well today.

I took a lesson yesterday, and the pro had me concentrating on moving much more strongly to my left side on the downswing. It may pay off in the long run, but right now it's really screwing up my swing.

shot a 79 with two doubles. Putted great. Drove great expect for 2 drives that were the cause of my doubles. If i could hit my wedges better i'd drop my scores drasically. With a wedge in my hand i hit 4/10 greens. Lame.

yesterday on a soggy course shot 75. 2 Birdies, 1 eagle(par five 100 out with a sand wedge straight in the hole). Its been raining here for the whole week and the Course was so nasty but I was desperate. I started out with 4 straight bogey's and then made the eagle. That settled me down and I shot one over for the rest of the round.
