thanks guys for the good luck wishes. Finished 2nd 5 back. Shot 73 passed 2 guys in front of me. Putter let me way down. 6 3 putts in 2 days and lose by five. doesn't that suck. still hit the ball great like usual. there is always next year.

After the 85 fiasco of yesterday, I bounced back with a stress free 75.

And, added a smooth 74 today where instead of "choking" when coming down the stretch, I was 3 over on 16th tee and finished out birdie, birdie, and bogey (unfortunate 3 putt). Nonetheless, I am moving back in the right direction.

Proof that golf is best played when you don't give a shit:

In a state of depression this afternoon I went par, par, par, birdie, par, par. Then when I realized I might shoot my first ever sub-par 9, I finished with bogie, bogie, par.

I quit.

Nice and cool when I got off work this morning. So I decided to play a quick 9 holes. I actually only took the driver out twice and shot a 43 on a par 35. And that was with 3 three putts. They aireated the greens Monday and they are horrendous still. Oh well, on a bright note, I only lost 1 golf ball,

78 today. TERRIBLE. I haven't hit the ball this bad in a while. The guys I were playing with today said that they hadn't seen me hit the ball that bad in about 6 or 7 monthes

Played 9 again today before the rain set in. Carded my 4th straight sub 45 round of 9. Nothing spectacular, but no really bad blow up holes either. The greens are still way to bumpy from aireating which along with my shaky putting led to 2 triples from 3 putting. I'm hitting my irons great and my driver was decent today the few times i took it out.Last 4 rounds have been 44, 43, 43 and 43 today, all on a par 35 nine hole course. I may not be that good but I'm getting consistant anyway,

Played 9 holes yesterday afternoon while fuzing around with my new SonoCaddie V300.

More on that later, but I am not a real happy camper, as the yardages and hazards are all screwed up on it. Obviously, they used a real old satellite map when plotting the course.

I had to edit every single hazard and green! Which took so much time that I had to just hit the ball without taking the time to over-analyze it. The result: a 34.

Yes, a 34. 7 pars and 2 birdies. The first time I have ever had a sub-par 9 holes. All because I just swung and hit the ball without careing too much about where it went.

71 today on a par 71... but I was pretty disappointed with a double bogey due to a shanked iron shot early in the round. I don't believe those that say a shank is close to being a perfect shot -- a shank is a bad shot, pure and simple; and it really shakes you up.

Congrats to SiberianDVM... way to go.

FINALLY!! A decent "after work" round. Played nine holes on Washington Park with three guys from work (two in our league) and even though I couldn't putt (only one 3-putt but no long ones) I got a 43. I've played good on the weekends but the mid-week (usually league) rounds have been horrible. I decided to take my time on each shot (no practice swings but thinking out the shot and not swinging until I have focused) and the results were great. I was hitting my G10 driver super nice (outdriving those in my group on every hole and in the fairway) and irons were "on the pin". 3-wood and hybrids were "good enough". Chipping was pretty darn good too. If I could get my putting back to two weeks ago I'd be dangerous! Reading the greens good but "just" not hitting them quite on my line. Distance control was good considering how slow the greens were. Had about 3 long ones that were about an inch or two short of dropping.

I just shot 58 over 9. really bad score, but I posted well on the hardest hole on the course (par five that requires a 120 yard shot to a really hilly green over a "gulley"-), bogeyed it with a sand shot) and did pretty well on the ones where I had enough light to see what I had to do. Shot 250 with the 3 wood, which is really good. It got dark though and my game just stunk after that.

course is a 68.8/115 par 70 so I didn't do too bad.
