How many shots can you hit on command?

I was reading an interview the other day and one of the guys said all of the great players can hit nine shots on command, i just started wondering how many shots i could hit on command then started to wonder how much others work the ball and how many shots they can hit on command. When i play i dont really work the ball that much, i just mostly play my fade becuase if i try to do anything fancy i usually end up screwing up because i dont practice working the ball much.

Anyways how many different shots can you guys hit on command consistantly?

I can fade it (my natural ballflight), draw it, hit a low punch shot, then hit a low hook and a medium height slice. When i hit these shots, i usually do what im trying to do, i just dont exactly how much draw or slice im going to put on it. Usually its more than i want.

I can consistently hit seven of the trajectory/directional combinations that I believe constitute the nine shots. I can hit a low draw, low straight, draw, straight, fade, high straight, and high fade pretty much on command. The two that I would say give me the most trouble are the low fade and high draw, usually can get these two out of three attempts.

I have a high draw, low draw, punch shot and straight. If I had a good fade I might be doing much better at the NSA.

Im money with a high fade. Then a low fade, low draw (and punch hook), straight and straight high/soft, normal draw and fade, low punch shot is there when I need it, just my ballflight lately is higher than i like...

Thats 8, just have difficulty with the high draw, its there once in awhile, but if I need that shot thats when I have to play safe

When I am playing well I can hit the high and low draw as well as the straight shot. I cannot intentionally fade the ball.

When I am playing poorly, I fade almost every shot LOL

I've got the following shots down pat:
Fluff, shank, gut, 60 yard slice, top, 45 yard snap hook & last but not least sky ball.

In all seriousness though, a fade of any description with the driver is a walk in the park, can barely hit a straight ball to save myself, and a draw is the go-to shot with any other club bar the driver. Blocked 6 foot putt and pulled 4 foot putt are pretty much standard too. As is the 30 foot dead-in-the-heart-but-6-inches-short putt.

Not many. Fades and slices of all heights and ball flights are easy, straight shots are nonexistent, any kind of 'controlled draw' is not exactly a strong point. If the situation is desperate I can usually pull off something that manages to move left.

I sort of chunk it around the course and hope for the best.

The are not many people who can work the ball like me. On command I can hit a:

Shank
Thin
Fat
Scuff
Top
Banana Slice
Snap Hook
Wiff
Yip

which I believe constitues the 9 major golf shots. There are 3 of these that I have absolute control of. The rest I am a kinda 2 for 3 success rate.

(btw there are others: sky, hoke, pull hook, block, worm burner, chilli-dip, flub, you can read about them, and indeed master them through in depth instruction in my upcoming book, "Golf is a Game of Panic", shortly available in all good book stores)

I'm OK with most of them with the exception of a controlled fade. I can bend a ball well round an obstruction with a reasonable amount of accuracy which you would think would be more difficult, but if I want to play a slight fade to hold it against a breeze I just can't seem to do it. However, some days I fade most of my tee shots without doing anything consciously different.

My sentinments exactly. When I saw the thread title the words "On Command" kind of eliminated me from any of these shots....

Otherwise - I can sometimes - hit a low punch, low draw, high draw and fade and slice.

Sometimes.

I cant hit a low fade at all and I struggle with a high draw but I can do it when playing of a tee.

I hit a natural draw, and can hit it low or high 9 out of 10 times when I want to. Can't get the ball to go straight no matter what I do, though. I can try to hit a fade, but it usually turns into a banana ball. I can also duck-hook an iron if I need to, to get around trees and such.
