Red face Club Management system on Ogio bags

I recently purchased a Ogio Atlas Cart Bag that comes with their 10" diameter Uniter 15 full length divider system.

I also bought a small lightweight stand bag made by Hunter that I use for airline travel along with a Telebag hard case. The Hunter bag has a 8 opening club divider similar to the Ogio Woode system, which I have found to like very much.

I play about 50% walking with a pull cart and 50% riding. The Atlas Bag is rather large and I think I may have purchased it too qucikly, although I can return it to Golf Galaxy without a problem. I'm thinking about moving down to an Ogio Bag with a Woode system, but whcih one?

My quest is to find the best bag for my 50/50 type of play with a good club management system.

The Ogio Grom is your choice. Buy it and don't look back.

Advantages:

1) It will 'freestand' like a cart bag. I store my bag in a shed and the club stands up straight - requring less storage space.

2) It has a 'Torq Strap' for usage in a cart. This is a rubber strap that you attach over the bar of the cart to keep the bag from twisting while driving. Extremely helpful.

3) The lower ball pocket does not have a zipper. It is 'springloaded' so you can get a ball out of it without having to use two hands.

4) An insulated beverage holder sleeve.

5) A golf scorecard and pencil holder.

6) Excellent adjustable double strap system for walking.

7) Plenty of storage space for rainsuit.

8) Cell phone pocket.

I love the Woode system. In a single visual shot I can tell if all clubs are in the bag....putter slot on top closest to you when you approach the bag either when it is upright on its legs or when it is in a cart.

You know what, maybe I don't even need a cart bag, just a higher end stand bag as they seemed to have really evolved in the last few years!

I have two bags that are my gamers now. When I walk, I use my push cart and when I play in tournaments and occasionally with friends I ride in a cart. Sounds a lot like your situation too.

The two bags I've settled in on are the Burton CXS hybrid and Ogio AMP cart bag.

Burton CXS Hybrid Bag

Burton Hybrid CXS Cart-Stand Bags

The Burton CXS is about the perfect size for me and the 14-way club organizer with full length dividers works great. Lots of storage pockets, a quick access magnetic pocket, tee holders, thermal drink pocket and an external putter holder (which works really well surprisingly).

It has a fairly large, flat base that sits well in a cart and the bag doesn't move around. The legs have a lever that lock them in place when they are closed for use on a cart. When used as a stand bag the legs are compact and strong and work reliably. It has a pocket by the straps that the straps fold away into when used on a cart. This is a cool feature and works very well also.

If I had to choose only one bag to play with regardless of whether I was walking or riding, this would be the bag I'd pick.

Ogio AMP Cart Bag

Ogio AMP Cart Bags

The Ogio AMP bag I just got a couple weeks ago. I bought it specifically for cart riding and more importantly for my push cart. It's an awesome cart bag. The Woode club divider system works well. I am not sure if I prefer it or the 14 individual full length dividers of the Burton bag though. They both work well.

It doesn't have quite as many pockets as the Burton and no cooler pocket. It doesn't have an external putter well, something I'm starting to like a lot with the Burton bag. It does have a very good base and cart strap loop. You won't have any problems with this bag in a riding or push cart.

TGW has these bags on sale right now for ~$70. They are a steal at that price, which is why I have one.

Those are the two bags I ended up with after looking for the past 2-3 years for the ideal bag for me.
