Hilton Head. Sweet.

One week from Monday I'll be playing Harbour Town (Home of the Heritage Classic) then a week from Wednesday playing at an Island course you have to barge out to (Can't Remember Name) and then a week from Friday Palmetto Dunes. Vacation is awesome.

Yeah that's the only problem. Will have Caddy at Harbour town, and cart at Dafuseski Island (Melrose Course) and Palmetto Dunes (Trent Jones course)

I've played both Harbour Town and Dafauskie...

Harbour Town has some tight fairways and small greens, but I loved it. The final three holes as you approach and play next to the water and awesome. The 18th with the lighthouse behind the green is really memorable.

The boat ride to Defauskie takes about 20 minutes. When you get there, the feeling of peace and isolation is really something....

Take a lot of pix...it would bring back great memories for moi...

I've played Palmetto Dunes (I have a timeshare there) but haven't played Harbour Town yet.

I spent five days at Daufuskie. Pretty cool place, with two nice courses. VERY laid back, though. If you like playing golf and lazing around in a hammock by the ocean, then Daufuskie is a great place. Don't expect any nightlife beyond a good book. And despite the grandness of the place, it's not a service-oriented place. The staff is reasonably competent, but once you check in, you're pretty much left to your devices. And there are no cars allowed on the island, except for the resort shuttles. People drive around in electric carts and bicycles. Quaint, and curiously refreshing - if you're ready for it.

I would go back, but there are other golf destinations higher on my list.

If you can, buy a bottle of Avon "Skin So Soft" before you go. It's the only defense against the dreaded "no-see-ums" (microscopic beasties with a ferocious bite; immune to DEET, and can crawl through any mesh - fabric or metal).

Yeah I'm real excited about the whole trip. Dafuskie is just a day trip purely for the golf. I'm staying at Seapines on the actual Island of Hilton Head. Super excited.
