    Jay Peak VT

I am driving to Quebec in a couple of weeks and looking for a stop off for golf on the way. Jay Peak is a new course (opened this year) not too far out of the way. Has anyone played there?

I have not. I hear it's in typical new course shape though, needs a few years to fill in.

Where are you driving from? I might be able to recommend something.

Ct to Quebec City. I've played St Johnsbury and most of the Rt 100 courses. I saw an article about Jay's 18 opening this year and thought I might give it a shot. If I play there I have an excuse to stop at Owl's Head just up the road.

  4. so you will be coming up 91 then?

Try Orleans - it's a qualifier site for the VT Am and a very nice track
Welcome to Orleans Country Club Web Site!

Thanks VTDivot. I looked at their site. The proximity to I91 and their greens fees make it pretty attractive. Your rec closed the deal. We decided to hit Orleans on the way up and stop at Owl's Head (the wife really likes the course) and maybe Jay on the way back. You gotta' love having a wife that plays. What started as maybe one round on a trip to QC may end up 3 rounds to break up a boring drive.

If we play Jay Peak I'll give you a course report. From your screen name I'll assume you're not to far away.

  6. I'm in the Champlain Valley, closer to I-89.

St J and Jay are about 1.5 - 2 hours away from me.
