In order to use the degree mark

I noticed a lot of people here use the * mark instead of the ° mark as in 17°.

If you go to Start -> Programs-> Accessories -> System tools-> Character Map it brings up a window, you can then select the degree character, copy it, and then paste it to your hearts content. Just a tip I kinda like it.

That was ALT-167

On my laptop, which requires me to press SHIFT-SCROLL LOCK to get the number pad to work (since the standard number keys won't work) and then I forget to press SHIFT-SCROLL LOCK again, which causes me to type screw y64, d6n't 352e hav5ng t6 w6rry ab64t 5t that 04ch....aaaarrrrggghh.

I'll stick to *, thank you very much.

Well, your statement also answers the question as to why it wouldn't ever happen.

Plus, if Sling ever did that, I'd call him an anal fairy. I doubt he wants that.
