Typical August Florida weather here. Mid 90's and high humidity with a possible hurricane on it's way next week.

Just wait until January. We will be giving you weather reports by the hour.

All I know is that this weekend was pretty killer in Chicago. I took the long route to my ball a couple times when I had a cart.

Looks like rain in the forecast until Friday here, maybe I can get 9 in tonight to hold me over. I hate this addiction.

To reiterate what Doc said, "Bite me!"

My home course has an "All You Can Play" special on Wednesdays for $28. I've been trying to get some guys together to play, but it's too @#%! hot to even think about 36 holes.

Forget January. First snowfall is typically around Nov. 14, and by December 1 the weather is this:

"The long-range forecast for the upper Midwest is a "normal" winter. That means about 50 inches of snowfall for Milwaukee."

Sometime around Easter WBL will be asking us how the last 20 weeks of golf we just played was.

See you in February!

Yep, going to be a great weekend for golf. I am working overtime both days but get done at 2 so plenty of time to hit the course afterwards.
I walked 18 on sunday & while the temp was only 87, I think the humidity was 127%. Definitely wont do that again, even the cart girl was making fun of me for walking.

Sure the courses will be closed around here by the middle of november, but at least there is 1 driving range which operates year rd in madison. They have 90,000 btu heated booths which will definitely take the edge off the cold.

Then in late November we go kill deer. Then have X-mas and lot's of vacation time. And then begins HELL! 3-4 long months of shoveling snow and dreaming of golf but WAIT. The Kentucky trip is now middle March so it's only TWO months of waiting. Gives us time to 'ho a whole new bag and we can visit the indoor ranges around Milwaukee. Of course sssmokin will have to just shovel until March...

My dad told me that a fellow whose office is three doors down from ours went into heat prostration on the golf course a couple of days back....

Unlike Texas, 100+ degree weather is unusual here. The average high in August is a level 90*. Today we set the AllTime record for consecutive days over 100. In fact, before last week, we hadn't had a 100 * day in a couple of years.

This is coupled with a devastating drought. The local news calls it a "100 year drought". Weather records were first kept here in 1895 and we've already broken a couple of alltime highs. The poor farmers have lost it all...they're plowing it under.

I shudder when the power bill comes in....

I'm total electric. No gas anywhere near here. My power bill topped $400 last month. I just put a timer on the pool pump. Who cares if it's a little green?
Now the pool water is even uncomfortably warm. Feels more like bath water than a cool refreshing pool.

Prediction is for 103*F here in Midland, GA today. It is 85* as I type this at 10:14 AM. A cold front is moving in so Thursday and Friday are only projected as 98* & 97* respectively.
