My swing vid

as always, any comments or criticisms are welcome.. i think it looks a hell of alot better than it did a year or 1 1/2 ago..

mods, i couldnt figure out how to move the thread, i posted it in the wrong place, unless pictures is the right place...

new video with proper rotation, and added slowmo to the end..

Turn the camera on it's side when you're shooting?

(That was too easy...)

Damn - I just figured out it would just as easy to turn my laptop on it's side!

DOH!

Seriously though, when you play the video in the camera, is it the correct orientation? Then, when you import it into YouTube, it rotates?

I don't post to YouTube, so I don't know if there are any tools in it to adjust your video...

Must be something in the way YouTube imports the video. Look around and see if there is a setting for "orientation". Any regular YouTubers could chime in and help.

I'll trade you my swing for your swing. Looks good but a Charnockpro would have to see anything wrong. All I can say is I don't see many swings that nice on the course.

- you break down your right elbow wayyy too early. this could result in inconsistency in that you could miss either left or right depending on your timing. i bet your driving is quite arratic when your timing is off. try to hold the triangle made from your wrists to shoulders for a longer time in the takeaway.

- you seem to come inside off the takeaway and then over the top as you go to the top and transition into the downswing. a shot from behind would confirm this.

lol, i dont think so... nice try though, if it were possible..

maybe tmag or charnock pro could chime in... preferably with drills i could work on as well as what i am doing wrong.. as much as i hate to admit it, i dont understand the golf swing well at all..

ive only been playing for 2 years.. the middle of this summer was the anniversary of the first time i ever played..

the first one i understand fully.. and you are correct, it is super erratic.. i will work on that at the range next time..

now for the second comment, i thought OTT made a fade/slice?? i dont have one at all, either i push it wayyy right, or i snap hook.. my good drives have a slight draw.

not a huge OTT, just a slight move OTT in the transition from backswing to downswing. going over the top doesnt always make a slice. it can cause many problems depending on different variables: ie. set-up, timing, grip etc..

i just dont see the OTT.. even in the slowmo.. but as i have said, i dont know much about the golf swing...

charnock, or tmag, can one of you comment on this??

edit- i paused the swing while the hands are at shoulder height, and there is no OTT, at least to me.. i perfectly dropped the hands, just like in all the instruction video's ive seen bits of...

how about a shot from behind your right side, and head on with you... thats usually the most beneficial video for sure...
