A great day for golf

I shot a 96 today. Ten strokes more than usual and I didn't care. I couldn't make a put and I snap hooked a couple of tee shots into the boonies. I didn't care. We waited on almost every shot because we were playing behind another couple and the wife was having a very bad day. I didn't care.

It was 72*, under bluebird skies and just enough of a breeze to be able to blame a poorly aimed shot on the wind. The course is in great shape and the post round beer was cold as usual.

I think I've reached some kind of zen oneness with the golf gods - at least for today.

Excellent. Now turn that oneness into "one with the ball" -ness, and you will see the answer: "There is no spoon. There is only 3-wood."

Seriously - when you can ignore the bad and enjoy the good, it is a great day.
