Biggest ho?

Just got thinking after writing up in my new army thread of all the putters ive gone through this year, through 4 drivers (another coming), and the like 7 3ws, am i getting anywhere on the ho list? Just honourable mention? Or even chinked the armour yet?

Who would you rank as top 5 hos on ST?

I think mine would go:

MG (if he couldnt get to ebay that would help him though)
Ezra (he shoulda just stuck with the r7 from the beginning!)
WBL (driver adventures, ping......nuff said)
Rockford (having 4 of the same driver at one point in time is impressive)
Sandpiper (im giving myself honourable mention with what ive done with 3ws, putters and 4 drivers).

No specific order, but i'd say MG and Ez are top 2.

MG and Ez are by far the top two active Ho's on the board. N.Sherman would blow them both away if he was still active though.

Top U.S. Ho = Ezra
Top UK/Ireland Ho = MG

From there, its hard to say. A lot of stealth ho'ing going on lately (self included) that has not been completely reported in the threads. As much as we like to stick it to WBL when he gets a new driver, I would hazard a guess that there are at least 5 others out there who have Ho'd way more equipment this year than he has. Rock is probably in the group of 5, but its hard to say as we sometimes do not learn of his ho's until they have been resold making it hard to keep track of his activity. All I know is that he offers me a shaft deal every now and again so they have to come from some where don't they?

MG and Ez have me beat by a mile. Followed closely by R35. And probably piper has moved in front of me. I've been fairly idle lately, just picking up a R5 Dual TP to use while my 905R is reshafted. BUT, Lyle and I are working up something.. (after I sell the R5 Dual TP).

Ho'd a few putters this summer which is unusual for me. Dollarwise I'm WAY behind last summer...

Well you and I would probably be at the top of the "Ho and stow" list. Neither one of us can seem to part with a club. We have got the buying part down, but can not seem to get rid of them.

I have been meaning to get all of my clubs together in one place and take pictures to post here. I have a few sets in the car, some in the attic, others in the garage, and the more exotic clubs in the office. I have lost track of how many golfers I could completely outfit for a round of golf.

Ha! You're right about that.

I'm planning to sell almost everything that I'm not currently using (main bag, backup bag). Just wait until you see the list posted here. May not match your totals, but....

I think Sling and I will have to come up with a "Ho of the Year Award" for purchases made. The only problem for me is it would have to be Global ho's only or I couldnt write if of!! hummm.........gotta think about this one!!

Could always have the "Global Ho of the Year Award".

Of course, we already know who won that one......

Just a baby ho here, but I'm learning. In the last year: just a hybrid, 3 wood and gap wedge.

future ho will be a driver this winter and possibly some new irons.

I'm the tp tinkerer ho I think,I am addicted to regripping and anything tinkerer

I regrip every 2 months and mess with lead tape, sole grinds, lie angles'lofts anything really.

I have regriped my irons recently just to go to 5 mill shorter shafts to see what happens

I don't consider myself a HO but before becoming a regular at ST my bag looked like this:

Driver- TM r5 Dual
Irons: WS Pi5
Wedges: WS Tw5
Putter:TM TPI-26.

Then I started posting and lurking more over here and got a 2 Bar Mallet.

Then I got a Nike SQ 460 Tour driver and SQ 3 wood.

Then I decided I didn't hit my 3 iron high or consistant. Ho'd a 3dx DC ironwood.

Then I regripped with multi comps.

Then I decided my wedges were to GI and the heas were to big. Ho'd Y cutters.

Then decided I hated my driver and it was costing me strokes.

SO no..my bag looks like This:

Driver: 10º Callaway FT-5 with GD Ys-6+ Tipped 1/2 an inch.
3wood: 15º Nike SQ with GD ys-6+.
Hybrid: Nickent 3dx DC iron wood with Aldila NV HYBRID
Irons: Wilson Staff Pi5 DG S300
Wedges: Taylormade Rac TP 52 56 60
Putter: Guerin Rife 2 Bar Mallet.

Thinking about putting a stiff Steel shaft in the Nickent, Picking up a Titleist x77 stand bag or a Ping Hoofer Vantage, and I have been researching new irons.

Also got new Cally shoes but they never get talked about when discussing new Ho's.

I'm not much of a ho, but a friend of mine certainly is. Since last summer, he has hoed 6 drivers, and is thinking about another, 3 fws, 2 hybrids, 5 iron sets, 2 wedges, and only 1 putter. Ho?

ps. All three of those fairways have rotated through MY bag also, along with both hybrids, and 2 sets of irons. I also played one of his drivers for a while. "Hey man, you don't use this, do you?" "No." "Can I have it?" "Sure." What a good deal.
