I may be interested since I live in Orlando anyway. Let me know what you come up with. I say we find the worst course in the area and play some cow pasture golf.

If you live in Orlando it's a requirement that you play

I think we may have trouble getting enough interest.

At 350 a night, even if I was interested, I wouldn't pay that. I won't pay for accomodations if it means sacrificing the golf for it. Makes no sense to play that kind of money to hold your suit case while you're out golfing/drinking/going to the Disney strip clubs. I'd rather put that into courses and stay at a sweet Best Western for $49 including my free muffin and coffee.

Know what I mean?

La Quinta in Orlando is $85/night I don't mind renting a car/van and buying my own food and booze.

This way I figure the job could get done for under a grand including the airfare unless you want to go for, well.......Tim, they got tittie bars in Orlando?

3 nights in the Parc Corniche Golfers Suite w/ 4 extra long twin beds. 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. Features a full kitchen and balcony/ patio. Includes golf at the following courses: Shingle Creek, Hawk's Landing and Grande Pines. Extra nights/ rounds available upon request $399
Oops. Guess I have to read that one a little closer. I thought it was $322 for the 3 nights with golf. Sounded too good to be true, guess it was.

The 3 courses listed Shingle Creek, Hawk's Landing, and Grande Pines I have heard some good things about. Two of them are Mariott courses, I looked for a Mariott package but could not find one that let you play both Grande Pines and Hawk's Landing. Shingle Creek has a nice resort attached to it, but its golf packages were nothing to write home about.

This deal looks pretty good to me. It will probably cost me close to the same just for greens fees.

I know this is drifting away from the Orlando idea, but there is a really nice resort about 30 minutes north of Tampa called Lake Jovita. Two nice courses (a PGA qualifier is held there). Being close to Tampa you've got Busch Gardens a half hour, and the Disney resorts only an hour and a half away. And world famous tittie bars in Tampa. Only two courses, but the replay value is good.

Golf packages are pretty reasonable. the current special is $135 pp/pn for a 3 night - 4 round package (quad occupancy). Continental breakfast / Lunch included. Drive into Tampa or eat in the condo (or the resort restaurants).

We would need to coordinate a couple of van rentals, but that really wouldn't be a big problem.

The condos are very nice and they really are excellent golf courses. I've done a stay-and-play there before.

https://www.lakejovitagolfcc.com/default.aspx

Let me know if there is any interest and I will contact them about December specials.

definitely call and find out Eracer. I'm open to all options. So far it looks like it's the 3 of us and maybe Sling and Bravo. We need at least 8 to mak e it worth while.

I will call and post the result here. $405 for 3 nights and 4 rounds is pretty cheap. It really is a nice place, and the courses are quite worthy. Close enough to Disney for the non-golfers.

I agree that we need eight people minimum. By that I assume you mean eight golfers?

I'll try to get some hidden camera shots of the inside of one of the better tittie bars. IG will sign up for sure then.

I think this would be a nice itinerary:

Thursday - arrive in Tampa.

Thursday night - stay at Lake Jovita.

Friday - play Lake Jovita course.

Friday night - Tampa night out.

Saturday (afternoon) - play other Lake Jovita course.

Saturday night - stay at Lake Jovita.

Sunday - get up EARLY and drive 50 minutes to World Woods. Play 36 holes.

Sunday night - Drive an hour for an overnight in hotel rooms in Tampa.

Monday - depart Tampa.

So it would be a three night / two round package at LJ, 36 holes at WW, plus a hotel Sunday night for those flying out Monday.

Thoughts?

keep it under 1000 is all that I ask.

It should break down like this:

Three nights + Two rounds at LJ should be under $400.

World Woods should $120 for 36 holes.

The hotel should be $100 or less.

That leaves $380 for round trip airfare.

I'll find out more specifics. See if I can get the LJ down to $350 or less.

Otherwise, I'm sure we can find a cheap condo in Brooksville, do World Woods, and a couple other good courses in the Brooksville area, which would not be a bad thing at all.

The "nightlife" aspect would be missing...but I personally wouldn't care about that.
