Count me in. I will be playing golf but staying at home since I live only about 45 minutes from the courses mentioned.

Excellent SW you make 4. This is starting to shape up. If we can go economical we can prob get more people to commit.

It looks to me like Tampa is the best option right now, the resort golf is cheaper than MCO, and the airfare is pretty much the same.

FYI - Airfare from BTV - TPA = $225. I'm sure it's much cheaper from the more urban centers on the east coast.

Yep - that looks like a very solid golf package. The Plantation condos are nice. Not "awesome", but nice. The Plantation course is perfectly fine. World Woods is, of course, a gem. And there is another great course in the area I discovered recently that we could play for about $40.

I would like to do Plantation on Friday, then 36 holes at World Woods on Saturday, then the other course early on Sunday. Fly out Sunday night.

The folks at Plantation are very laid back, and will put together a package that meets our needs. If this sounds good to you, I'll call Plantation and work it out.

VT - your plan is a good one. I'm just tossing out another idea.

If we are doing Sunday, I have got to see if I can get the day off. I'm off work Wednesday through Saturday at the moment.

I like the World Woods idea. I am fine missing out on the night life. A few beers, some wine, and watching some football is more than enough excitement for me.

Tampa - It's decided then.

Let's put a package together and see who we can get to commit.

Eracer, if we get enough folks, I kind of like your Ryder Cup style event you mentioned from your earlier post. Add some fun to the event.

I just finished looking at the World Woods website. I definitely want to play there! About as close as I will come to playing Pine Valley and Augusta (well, except for Golden Ocala, but that fun is over with now, too.)

Rates seem very reasonable at the Plantation Inn.

You'll love World Woods.

Too bad about Golden Ocala. I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to play it as many times as I did when I lived in Gainesville. Those who never had the chance will never know...

I'm going to get ahold of Plantation Inn and work up a quote for 18 holes there + 36 holes at WW, plus 18 holes at El Diablo.

I can do Wednesday through Saturday. Sandwedge? VT? Bravo? Sling? Anybody else able to do that? Or do we need to do a Friday through Sunday trip?

I'll post it here.

I would prefer Thurs-Sun. Especially if Sun drags into Monday. I'd hate to have to take 4 days off when I can only take 2 if it's Thurs-Sunday.

I should be able to do Thursday-Sunday, but I will have to get Sunday off. If we are fully committed to this, I will request the day. Do we at least have a guaranteed 4-some?

I like the Tampa angle better than the Orlando one...(I hope I can come). I've heard so many things about World Woods from people who have played it and it's so highly ranked that I have wanted to play it for years....and yes bc it's out in the middle of nowhere - it would be a simple night of beer and football on TV...
