I've got two tickets to the TOUR Championship Friday

A close friend called yesterday to let me know that he was giving me two tickets to the Tour Championship this week in Atlanta.

The field has been narrowed down to only 30 players, so it will be interesting to see how the crowd is dispersed. I've been to a lot of tournaments but it's always been with a full field. With so few players on the course, the crowds are bound to be huge.

Hope I can go....the next couple of days will tell the tale....

Actually, what I really need is a forecaddie.

I'll tell you what MC....IF I am able to get away and one of my buddies who lives in Atlanta cannot make it, I'd be glad to meet you...

Let me see how it shakes out over the next day or so.

It'd be fun. You would be the first ST'er I've met in person....

John

You will NOT be able to take pics. Leave the camera at home cause they'll just take it from you at the gate. Likewise your cellphone.

Bravo, any time you want to go to a tourney let me know. With enough lead time I can get press passes to most events.

Sling, what's the chance ST could get a group of passes to a few tournaments next year? One in the South, one up north, one mid-west, etc.

I know that if Bravo's offer had worked out, Atlanta is only a 6 hour drive for me...I'd have made a (long) day trip out of today. I'm sure others would love the chance to attend a tournament.

And if it happens to be a major in the Augusta area....yeah, I'll go!!

Yup there's that tournament in Atlanta every year the week before the Masters....I'd like to consider that one...only a two hour drive for me and the field is always very strong bc they are getting ready for the following week...

Golf Tournament Passes and Weather Insurance

Just a heads up. You can buy golf tournament passes from a lot of ticket brokers online. Just make sure you choose a broker that offeres weather insurance, so you can get your money back if the day is rained out. be careful too. Make sure you know exactly what has to happen in order for you to get your money back. In most cases weather insurance will be void if one golfer completes one hole on the day. It really only comes in handy if the whole day is cancelled.
