I know they lead the tour in # of players using Prov's and I think they have putters and wedges on lockdown as well. I play ProV's and Vokey's also but entirely by choice. I just flat out had better rounds putting and chipping when I played a ProV as well as some of my longest drives so that was a no brainer. Plus I find those more than any other ball. Vokey's were a different story. I was set on Mizuno's for life until I bought a sweet looking 50* Vokey cheap, was just going to resell it. Then I decided to take it out and only hit it off decent lies one day... my low trajectory, high spin wedge shots were on fire and the rest is history.

That site is one of the reasons to chuckle when gamers think one needs to play blades, and they need ProV1x (leaded) over the ProV1 (unleaded).

For example, when everyone was raving about Adam Scott's length off the tee, whilst at the same time posting that only high-speed players on tour played the ProV1x...Scott was playing the (unleaded).

Billy Mayfair uses the D1. But the D1 just has so many qualities that the pros aren't looking for, so not much use to them. Still a quality club...

Mayfair's always been at bit of an against the grain guy and "against the norm".

Was a Ping guy. Putts a bit abnormally. He's a streaky scorer, much like Calc...a...spelling?

Both like oversized look.

Last time I checked (or cared/linked) Mayfair was playing those oversized Titlest irons...822s?

Titleist makes by far the best quality golf club for the good golfer. I downgraded from the Ping G5 to the Titleist 905T (a smaller head) and I haven't sacrificed any distance and I am way more consistant. My 690 blades are by far the best iron I have played and the prov1 is by far the best ball.

If you want to be a great golfer first get a bunch of lessons second buy titleist.
