Welcome back Ignite, havent heard from you in awhile. You ever fix that driver problem you were having? Those arent too bad considering you are only 12 years old. Try putting the ball back in your stance more so it will make you hit down on it instead of behind it. The putting thing will come around, don't worry too much about it. The more you play and older you get you will gain a more solid stroke and putting game. Until then the only thing to do is practice, as much as you can. Good luck

That's pretty good starting out and at 12. It took me a year to break 100 at easy courses and I had the strength to hit drives 280.... yes, I lost a lot of balls. Keep working at it and have fun. If you ever get a chance to have pro take a look at your grip, setup and fundamentals, take advantage of it. I know in my area the "first tee" has all kinds of free lessons and clinics for the kids. Unfortunately no matter how close I shave they still won't let me sneak in. I know there must be some really good instructors there though. Some of these kids have swings that scare me. If the rest of the country is like this... Tiger's records will fall like Jack's inevitably will and Tiger will see it happen.

If you are saying you get more height when you put the ball in the middle of the stance that is corrrect. You are taking advantage of the loft of the club. That is a good thing.

back of ur stance.. well that should be wrong for higher.. try playing the ball on the inside of your Front foot.
and feet just wider than shoulders. Keep weight back and feet down. Dont try to dance.

Are these good scores...?

My 14 year old scores about the same as you do...usually between 105 and 115 (he hasn't broken 100 yet and you have!) on a 6100 yard course from the white tees.

I am pretty strict about the rules with him when he keeps scores...counting strokes for mulligans, OB rules playing your 3rd shot, etc., so that he learns the game the correct way.

When we are 'playing for fun' and not keeping score then all bets are off and he is allowed to take a few extra mulligans etc..

Try taking the putter back slowly online. This gets you to accelerate on the stroke. Use the same speed on the stroke and control the distance with the length of backswing (longer = farther etc).
