Well the Girlfriend is not too happy about it but I'm leaving for Florida on Monday. Nice easy run down to Ft. Lauderdale with no dropoffs on the way till we get there. We have to load back up and 2 relatively easy stops on the way back up.

I'll be going with my boss and we'll be staying an extra day. We'll definitely be playing 1 round, maybe 2 depending on how early we get done with the dropoff. The manager of the FL location will also be playing with us. He recently moved to a new condo in Deerfield Beach right on the course. He claims to "know a guy" and can get us out for free as well.

Can't wait. He said it is 82* today with like no humidity. The course looks pretty good as well. 6700 off the blues (which is what we most likely will play) and just over 7K off the tips.

I'll have a whole lot of choices off the tee. 8.5* driver, 13* 3w that likes go fade, 5w that loves to draw and the 3iron "stingdraw" that'll run out 225-230. I suppose I'd better get a little Xmas shopping done as well on the way. Truck stop tee shirts and coffe mugs for all.

Sounds like a great trip. How long does it take you to drive from RI ?

It all depends. I think total driving time is around 27-28hrs. if I'm not mistaken. We usually take it into about NC and stop to sleep for the night. I've run it all the way in with a 2hr. nap at the GA border and all the way back with nap on the Jersey Tpk. We'll probably run it strong in since no stops are necessary but it all depends on what my boss wants to do. Usually it involves scheduling the stops to pick up or drop off the furniture but since we have no stops on the way down we can go all the way. Obviously on the way back we have to figure out stops, you can't arrive at the destination at 3am, that sort of screws things up. We went down last winter and all the hotels were booked or ridiculous in FL near the dropoff. We ended up near the customers house at like 2am. Had to sleep in the truck till 7am and that sucked. They have a "sleeper" but we had 4 guys, 2 to a truck, so the non-driver had to sleep in the seat. They guy I was with was real miserable biotch about it. I couldn't sleep well because he sat there chainsmoking, talking to himself and open and closing the door the whole time. I was about ready to toss him out and lock him out.

ezra... I hope there's no room in the truck for your clubs and you have to play that nice course with a rental set of lady's clubs!!! Anyone who would dare get on a DB like this and tell us about a "free" round in Florida next week is a horse's behind!!!

Freezing ice/rain/sleet here right now. Supposed to be a winter storm advisory through Monday. Have to get out to "rescue" the wife from work in about half an hour. Streets are glazed with a sheet of ice.

Third weekend in a row Mother Nature's PMS has ruined playing golf. Have fun on your trip! Hope you 3-putt every hole!!

Be forewarned, you will not get the yardage you are used to when you play down there. I hit an extra club everywhere.

Also - the no humidity thing is awesome. Completely different than what I was expecting. I was expecting NE summer type weather.

Thanks man. I think I should hit the 17* off the tee at least 5 times. I was ripping that thing off a little tee.

We'll be there late Tues. afternoon and playing on Wed. Forecast says a little cloudy but only a 10% chance of rain.

I'll have to get some pics of the place we stay at if it's the same one as last time. 27th floor right on the ocean in Hollywood FL. It's really amazing. I have no idea how much a condo like that goes for but it's like something out of a movie.

Can you believe this crap. The job coming back that was the majority of the trip was postponed and we're not going. Well, I'll be going sometime but I was really looking forward to getting out of here for a few days.
