You might be a golf addict when......

Ok, I know most of you guys have heard the "you might be a redeck when" jokes, so this is like that.

I thought of this on my way to the course last night so I'll start.

When the thermometer outside says 99F and you still think it's a good idea to go play........you might be a golf addict.

Your Turn.

You might be an addict if you own more than twice the number of allowed clubs in one's bag.

Might be a non-recoverable addict if you carry 20+ clubs in your bag on any given day....

Only if you bring 'em all to the course with you, right?

If the wife has to cover up with green astroturf to get you to "come to bed".

If you can only make water in the woods? (IG...)

That reminds me of a tiem when i worked at a course. the pro myself and another guy were playing, on the 18 tee we saw a huge bolt of lightning so we headed in. the very second we steped into teh proshop...instant hurican weather. rain so hard we couldnt see out the window, then i turned to hail to end all hail when i was donw it looked like it had snowed. it was crazy, some of the resort staff, waitresses and such were caught out in tin while on teh course, they cam back good and soaked. it was super.

When you play in 20 degree weather with snow in the bunkers, frozen lakes (which you can bounce off of or STAND ON), and the greens are frozen so you play them like the US Open.... say that in one breath.

When you are in "law school size debt", have no job, and are playing 2 - 4 times a week and are STILL buying new clubs...you might be addicted.

You probably ought to play more. If you don't have a job, you need to develop a regular schedule that gets you out of bed early (as if you were going to work). If you do that, you'll need something to do in the mornings rather than watch day-time TV. A golf course is a healthy alternative.

See if you can get that number up to 5-7 times a week.

Makes perfect sense to me.

You might be a golf addict if when the other guys are going home on a 99 F day you say and play another 18.

You might be an addict if. You walk off the course only to go home and discuss it on a golf forum.

If you have 6 drivers 8 putters, 5 fairway woods, 2 sets of irons, 8 utility clubs and 9 wedges you might be an addict
