Please help before I snap all my clubs...

The last few times I've gone out I've been hitting a snap hook with my irons. It never fails, 3 iron to PW, snap hook. I don't know what to do... I've weakened my grip, didn't work. Weakened it some more, didn't work. Relaxed my grip, didn't work. My divot is straight but some how I keep closing my clubface at impact. Has anyone gone through this? How did you remedy it?

Please help before I smash my face in with my 7 iron.

Over the top would be a pull. Is it a pull hook? You may be coming in too steep.

The only advice I can give without seeing the swing is not to take any advice from anyone who hasn't seen your swing.

One thing you may try is to cup your left wrist (for right handed golfer, this means keeping the right wrist straight) at the top of the backswing. This has the effect of opening the clubface.

Try releasing you hip. If you stop the hip rotation you have to use your hands to continue the turn, that normally results in the ball going left as you over compensate. Make sure your body is facing the target when you finish your swing.

I would talk to the club pro and have him watch your swing. There are probably only 100 things that MAY BE the issue. And i would guess that if you weren't having a problem before it is going to a pretty easy fix.

I have been through the same problem. I was getting ahead of the ball at impact and pulling my shoulders around my body. All you need to do is practice with a 9 iron hitting 3/4 shots with your toe of the left foot turned in towards your right toe. Don't try to hit too hard or you'll break your leg! This stops you getting ahead of the ball by hitting against a firm leg and you can only rotate your shoulders in a pull and pull down motion rather flat spinning which is causing your club to close at impact. Look at Woods just after impact and his right shoulder is under his chin with his arms extended towards the target.
