| Starting a Member Club
Hello everyone! Happy Holidays!
I am starting a thread regarding starting a USGA member club.
Recently, I was forced to leave my home club in Michigan as I pursued a new job in Chicago, IL. The last couple summers I have been getting to golf 1-2 times per week and memberships around here are absurd so I decided it would not make sense to join a club. I would like to continue to play tournaments however, which require an up-to-date handicap.
My solution was to start my own USGA member club and take members handicaps via a web application which I am creating. The fee is $100 per year (for the entire club or $10 per member) and the minimum amount of members is 10. I have recruited the minimum amount of friends and I am now moving forward with this.
Does anyone have any suggestions? question? anything I should keep in mind?
