Marco Island, Fla - good golf there?

I'm heading off to Marco Island, Florida this upcoming weekend and am just wondering if anyone here lives nearby or knows where to play some golf. I'll be there all week and am looking forward to it,

It's all private as far as I know......BUT....Naples has some nice public play available.

I don't know Marco, but there are some great courses in Naples (lots of big money in Naples). Tiburon is the premier public course in the area. Recently hosted Norman's challenge event.

Bonita/Estero has some nice tracks as well, but they're a bit north of Marco. Pelican's Nest and Wildcat Run are two good courses. I especially like Pelicans Nest.

A bit further north in Ft. Myers you have Crown Colony. It's my Dad's home course, so I play it a lot. It's private, but they're trying to attract members, so right now they have an open guest policy. It's a great test. A hidden gem, for sure. You've also got Fiddlesticks. Awesome course. They have a reciprocal policy. Have your pro call.
