London Area Golf

Since my plans of playing St. Andrew's this year have been stunted due to the insane tee time reservation list (you have to apply in september 08 to play in 09), I have decided to push back my Scotland golf trip to next summer.

I am still heading to London in June and I am of course, bringing my sticks. Anyone know of any nice courses within an hour or so of the city? Any help would be great! Thanks!

You should book at the Belfry to play the Brabazon course. It's near Birmingham a good hour and half up from London (if you leave at the right time) but it will be well worth the trip.

Selsdon Park, nr Croydon, is also a decent course.

Basically you have a heap to choose from and as long as you keep away from the really famous courses you should be able to play without any trouble or ruinous expense.
