I'm ready for Kentucky

After this long brutal winter (close to record snow and low temps for as long as they've been recording them), I'm more than ready for Warbirdlover and my trip to Kentucky Dam Lake area for golf at the end of March. As you can see in this pic, I've been working out a little. All WBL has been talking about is how he'll outdrive me this year, so I had to make sure that didn't happen:

Hey sssmokin we use to have a group from here in SE Missouri that went to Kentucky every year to play golf, but we go to the lake of the ozarks now but when we went to Kentucky we played - state course at the dam, Boots Randolph, Mineral Mounds, or the course at Murray where Murray State plays. There are some pretty nice courses there from some pretty good prices,

We also played Mineral Mound. That's one where you better not get off the fairway or get your climbing gear on to go down to find your ball!!

yeah we have played it twice first time it kicked my but I came home in 78 and the next year I got revenge and came home in 70 so I felt a little better. It's just one of those courses were you CAN'T miss fairways or you are done.

WBL, I dont think that you need to worry about ssmokin outdriving you if he looks like that. I dont think that he would be able to even grip a club let alone swing one

A 70 on that course is great..............even 78 is good. Tough course, but very fun to play. We played several rounds at Kentucky Dam Village course because that's where we stayed, but hope to hit a few others this year. I have a friend at work that used to go there every year, and he's made some recommendations for us as far as courses to try. Murray and the Boots Randolph were two he mentioned.

Another blizzard (and 6" of snow) and I'm fed up with shoveling and blowing snow. My back hurts and I want to go NOW!!!
