2008 Shot Talk Photo Contest


I’ve decided to host a Photo Contest for the members of Shot Talk. There will be a few prizes available for the top 5 Photos submitted. Prizes have been gratiously donated by our sponsors, so it's time to start clicking!


Contest is open to Members, Sponsors, and Moderators.


To qualify, the following are required:

1. You must have at least 25 posts on Shot Talk

2. The photo must be taken by the member

3. You must NOT be a professional photographer on ANY level. Meaning, if you’ve sold photos in the past, you’re out. Let’s leave this as an amateur contest, please and thank you! However, leave the camera phones at home!

4. Submissions must be in JPEG format with a size no bigger than 1024x768 pixels. (If you have trouble resizing, please send me a PM.)

Photos can be taken at any time, before the contest started is acceptable, as long as YOU took the photo.


As far as judging goes, it will be simple criteria.

1. The photo must be golf related.
2. You can only submit ONE photo so make it count!


The Judges for the Photo Contest are:

Robereno (Rob)


Photos will be judged individually with each judge rating each photo out of 10. Totals will be added up accordingly.


Top 5 point earners will receive prizes that will be drawn randomly. *All winners are responsible for their own shipping costs or they forfeit their prize.



Here’s a list of prizes that will randomly be drawn for the winners:

1. Geek Golf DCT 3 Wood with BB Solutions stiff shaft (donated by Rockford35) and a Global Golf $100 Gift Certificate

I’ll keep the contest open until May 30th and prizes will be announced sometime in the following week. That should allow most members some green grass in their photos and allow us to kick off the 2008 Golf Season here at Shot Talk with a bang! Er, click.

If we submit our pic before the deadline, and then we take a better one that we want entered instead can we have that old pic taken out and the new one entered in its place?
