Female Members?

Have a question people....

I sponsor five other golf forums and am a member of about 8 total forums....and the female population in each is very small.

I noticed we have NONE here.

Theres a few females who have quit posting in other golf forums because they dislike some of the graphic tones in some posts (in decent pictures)...some get unwanted "advancements"...and some language has been found offensive.... arguing and treating eachother mean and ridiculing others for having different thoughts.

Probably most importantly, making people feel stupid for asking questions.

I get emails from some of them asking if I know of a place where they could reside and feel comfortable....

This is the closest forum I could think of that might fit their needs...small enough to be personal...and I've yet to see any fighting or squabbling among members here.

What do you all think? Are we mature enough to have a gender mix here?

Do you know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? The porcupine has its' pricks on the outside.

I'm sure they'll all agree they've found a haven of equality, free of male posturing and machismo, when they go to the first page they open on the forum and see the thread 'How much can you bench-press?'...

That said, they might then feel a whole lot better when they discover all the male insecurity going on in the 'losing weight' thread down at the bottom!

I'm just not sure I would let them become premium members. One look at some of sssmokin's work and they will like be runnin' for the hills and changing their identity. Heck, it was almost enough for me to do the same. Although they would likely feel much better about themselves. As an overweight, middle aged man, it was enough to assure I wouldn't go through some kind of mid life crisis anytime in the near future.

I appreciate this guys, thanks. And, I'm hitting from the junior tees, not the ladies.

We've had the odd female member from time to time, but as it happens with most forums, they move on to bigger and better things. I don't know if you've noticed on other forums, but the same trend happens there too.

I would have zero qualms with the ladies being part of the crowd, especially if they can contribute to equipment questions and answers, or even reviews.

Hell, they play the same equipment as Doc, so it makes perfect sense.

Thanks Rory,

R35

Rockford is Canadian, so sometimes he gets his syntax mixed up. What he meant to say was "they play with Doc's equipment".

This is pretty much why we don't have female membership. Doc and his "wisdom".

Pretty much.

Remember when somebody posted a picture of a pink driver head, like this one?

And I said, Hey, I wonder if it's pink on the inside, and Sling made me take it down?

Honestly, what's wrong with that? It's a reasonable question.

Reason #2 why we do not have any female members anymore.
