Pre-shot routine. What is yours?

the last guy i played with requires total silence and he takes approximately 15 practice swings per shot. It is a little annoying because he asks everyone to hold their breath.

What is a good pre-shot checklist to go through?
I usually look at my stance, writst/grip, aim and then stance again and then re-aim.
Should I add anything else?

i try to visualize trajectory and fade or draw or whatever. and i take a practice swing and then i set up to the ball waggle and do my forward press and then swing. i play 18 in under 3 hours every time. unless im behind some group that plays slowly... i hate that. i read ryuji imadas tips for fast play in golf digest last year and have applied it somewhat successfully to my own round. playing faster if done right helps to eliminate the bad thoughts that might creep into your head whilst setting up for a shot. the only place i take my time is around the greens and putting. but that guy you play with deserves to not be allowed to play golf unless he becomes more time conscious... because i bet it takes him 3 hours to play 9 holes much less 18 lol... oh well.

I stand behind the ball and look down my target line, pick a very specific spot about 6 inches in front of the ball and keep my eye on that spot as i approac the ball.

Place thehead of the club square with the target line, pull the club away from the ball, take my stance for whichever club i am using, 1 practice swing(unless it doesnt feel right, then i take another till it does)

Slide forward, swing.

Wow, its alot more invovled when typing it out than it is when i actually do it. Probably only takes me 15-20 seconds to complete

I've had better luck with no big routine. It tends to "tighten" me up rather then loosen me up. I just pick my line and where I want it to land, set my stance and grip and let her fly.

Are you guys a bunch of heavy breathers, or are you just pulling our legs?

I line up my shot, tug on my glove, don't ask me why? I didn't even realize I did it till my son pointed it out to me. Take a practice swing, reset my grip, waggle and swing away. Then cuss like a sailor usually,

No i'm serious. He asked me to hold my breathe once because I was coughing. I eventually passed out and hit the ground. The thud caused him to shank the ball badly.

I take a practise swing behind the ball down the line, seeing the shot i want to hit, i stand directly behind, twirl the club in my hand, step up around to the ball (same 3-4 steps into the ball). Address right foot forward, look at the club to the target, take my stance, 3ish wiggles, look at the target again, deep breath, pull.

Exact same routine every time, have been using this for the past 3-4 years.

I don't ever take a practice swing, not even sure exactly what the hell that is supposed to tell me. basically I just walk up to the ball, set my stance, adjust my grip & then hit the ball. I have discovered that the less I think about it, the better I do. If I start to think too much about everything, I will sure as hell screw up.

Mines fairly simple. While walking up the ball, i'll start assessing distance, wind, lie, etc. Then I look at my yardage book for a brief glance, which usually have some hints on how to get in a positive mindset. I then select my club, stand 20 or so feet back, pick my target, intermediate target, take a deep breath, close my eyes and imagine the shot in detail while taking the basic swing that will produce it. I tug on my shirt, which is my signal to not think anymore and just commit. Address the ball, another deep breath, **** my head to the right (Right eye-dominent) then pull the trigger. It sounds complicated, but it takes me 15-25 seconds.
