My golf gift research results!

Hey everyone

After getting the opinion from some of you and people on some other forums, I have realized that golfers generally don't like to get the random novelties/junk from their friends and relatives. Gift cards are the way to go. Still, to add at least a little personality I wanted to have something golf besides the card, and I found a great site.

I found nolinksnoob.com. They have all the standard gift stuff, but they also have golf themed greeting cards, which I didn't find anywhere else. I stocked up on cards from the site, but then I saw their store locator tool and realized that I could go to my local golfsmith and get the card in person, so I went and checked it out.

When I went into the store and brought up a card, they suggested I get a gift card to go with it (as I was already planning to do lol). But, they had these things called duck dots that I could use to put the gift card into the greeting card. Rather than give the gift card separate, the duck dots (little glue dots) stick it on the inside of the greeting card...not bad! I think the duck dots were a greetings4golfers product but I'm not sure. In any case, I should now be giving the perfect, non-tacky gifts to all my golfing friends!

One thing my mother got me once that wasn't directly golf related, but that is still relatively neat, is a book titled something like "1000 Amazing Golf Facts". A bunch of little stories or facts from the history of the game that an avid golfer would find interesting.

But stay away from novelties. If you know what kind of ball they play, you can get personalized balls as well. But the gift card idea is still #1.

This is EXCELLENT advice. We love good advice here, especially when it comes to spending our money on golf-related stuff.

But we are also very paranoid about SPAM, and very protective of our forum. Spend some time here, engage in some conversations, and PM our administrator (Slingblade61) about the appropriateness of posting a link to another website.
