ShotTalk day out at St.Annes Old Links...

...I was gonna arrange a day out at the end of March but the dates clash with Easter and the start of the new season plus the weather is a wee bit on the dodgy side!!! Instead I'm thinking of arranging for early May, the green fees will be a little bit more but hopefully it will give more time for people to arrange the time off and most importantly the weather should be a little better.

Who would be up for this? Non STers are more than welcome if you want to invite a friend. How about the Tuesday after the May Day bank holiday?

What date is that? Where is the closest EasyJet Airport? What do you reckon on what it would cost for the day?

I'd love to go but may prove too problematic. We'll see.

The closest is Liverpool airport. However, you may well be able to get a non-SleazyJet to Blackpool in which case it's a few minutes from the course!

I'm thinking of the last week of April now, Maybe Monday 29th or any day that week for me. I would rather we work the date out to suit as many people as possable, mid week maybe cheaper flights? It would be great if you could make it over (maybe drag Andy, The Master, Irish & Dave I with you) if you fly to Liverpool I'd come pick you up no problem but if you can fly to Blackpool, you can see the course from the runway!

We could have a Ryder Cup style match, well more like a poor mans Seve Trophy!!! We could have the return fixture across at your place in the summer

Here's the clubs website again just to help tempt a few more St Anne's Old Links Golf Club - Lancashire, England

80 yoyos all told gets you from Dublin to Blackpool on Ryanair. 20 notes for yerself return and 60 for the sticks .. robbing bastads

*edit* .. forget Blackpool requires an overnight - flight doesn't get in til the afternoon .. 88 euro to Liverpool

Sure you wouldn't need sticks, MG has multiple top end sets to choose from. Kinda lie a Tour Van, right Paul?
