Golf in Omaha. Is everything open? Where to play?

Hey,

Anyone from the Omaha area? Is most everything open? I called Johnny Goodman today and they said they are open, so I am quite excited.

I am spending all next week in Omaha for work (3/16-3/21). I plan on playing Sunday afternoon then hopefully getting in at least 9, maybe 18 (thanks Daylight Savings Time!) every evening M-F if the course is slow.

I guess, as the title says, where should I play? Most likely the only FULL relaxed round I'll be able to play is Sunday afternoon. If you could play one public course in the Omaha area, which one would it be? And is it open already this year?

Thanks for any help from any Huskers, or anyone that has played in the area really.

On a side note, are there any REALLY good, CAN'T MISS places to eat in Omaha? For steaks, or burgers, or chops, or BBQ etc. etc.

Nebraska? Bring your long underwear. They've had all the crappy weather before we got it. Can't imagine they don't have snow.

My condolences on having to spend a week in Omaha, I spent 3 days there & it almost drove me nuts. Not sure about any of the golf courses but they actually do have a pretty damn good zoo if you are into them at all.

Yeah, I called Goodman today to verify if they were open I was shocked they were. I said I'll be there around 1PM on Sunday and playing as a single so I shouldn't need a tee time.

He said, "It's supposed to be raining on Sunday."

I told him I'd be playing anyway unless it's just pouring. 40* and rain sounds like utopia to me. I'm dying to play so badly. Some FJ rain gloves and a $$$ FJ raingear suit and I'm all set.
