Poulter's Shanks!!

I wondered who else laughed hard when Poult's hit two shanks yesterday, the second was a huuuuuge shank!! It just amused me seeing the self proclaimed second best player in the world and after he said he had played the best round of his life on the thursday watching him shank it about!!!

Want some mint sauce with that laaaammmbbb poult's??!!!!!

It makes me feel good that someone as good as him still shanks it once in awhile. There's a little bit of pressure playing in the Masters. A few years ago I saw a Champions tour tourney where Dave Stockton shanked his driver where the ball dribbled down the hill about 40 yards. He still made par!!

Not really shanks though, they were both really tough shots of very slopey fairways, he said so himself, he was trying to cut a 4 iron with the ball below his feet and also a downhill lie, with the wind from the left, an almost impossibole shot, same with the 9 iron.

WBL, you'd have loved seeing me play today, I literally hit a full hosel shank today on 13 and saved par, bounced off a tree about 30 yards ahead of me to the sharp right and onto the cart path and saved par from there.

Only times you see these guys hit "questionable" shots is the toughest tourneys of the year, as the conditions are THAT hard.

If PROS are shanking a shot from there, what you think any of us normal players would do? I'd be happy with just advancing the ball
