Interesting group playing off tips today.

Played 18 today as a single & ended up playing thru a number of foursomes & a couple twosomes. Anyways I caught up to 1 of the foursomes on a par 3 with a force carry from the tips of 180 yds or from the whites it's 156. I play from the whites because I don't have jack to prove to anyone out there. Anyways these guys are hitting off the tips & one of them breaks out his driver He was still short & ended up taking a drop. Can't even hit it 180 yds with a driver yet insists on playing from the tips?????????

WTF is wrong with people? Is there that big of a hangup with playing from the tee box which actually suits your ability?

Was he also playing blades with x flex. I see guys all the time play from the tips, I play the whites but when im on a small local course we play the tips since they are only like 5-10yrds back on some holes.

Didn't even look at his clubs, could care less actually.

Speaking of clubs, I was on the 15th green & looked off to the edge & noticed a club laying there. After I putted out I walked over & picked it up. Just then the 2 kids who were just ahead of me started coming back as if they had lost a club. I held it up & asked if it was theirs, they both said no but I told them to take it anyways. Reason being it was a super crappy 9 iron...I don't even recall the brand right now...& it had a huge bend in the shaft. Someone got pissed & slammed this thing into the ground as hard as they could.

Funny thing is one of the kids...I say kids but they were mid 20's...took it & stuck it in his bag.

my very first drive (first swing)this yr. was 189.9yds with 190yds of carry.
