USPS sucks at times!

Waiting for my Golflogix gps & the sender added insurance to it so for some reason I need to sign for it. They attempted delivery yesterday but I was out golfing with the wife & the carrier left the card, said they would attempt redelivery today or I could just sign the card & leave it for them.

Signed the card & they didn't even attempt to deliver it. Called the mailwoman who lives a block away from me & asked her where the hell it is. Told me that she "figured" I would pick it up at the post office so she didn't bother. Now I need to wait until tuesday for the damn thing.

Was looking to play around with it on this afternoons rd, but that got screwed. I think Sssmokin had a hand in this.

That does suck, I hate when that happens. It's actually one of the (few) reasons I like UPS and Fedex. With their tracking I know exactly when something is going to show up.

I get so much stuff shipped to me that I have a signature waiver with UPS and Fedex. They have instructions where to leave stuff on the odd oocasion I am not here.

Watch what you wish for.

I order a set of clubs. Fedex said they were delivered/dropped on the porch. Of course, nothing there.

Called customer service. They re-iterated that the package was delivered. Checked the neighbors, etc. Called Fedex back. They said file a claim.

Then one week after the package was "delivered", it appears on the porch. Still sealed. No note. No phone call.

Apparently, in spite of all the GPS, tracking, those nice laptop devices, the delivery people are not 100% honest. A small number but not insignificant number are not properly delivered.

In addition, in our area, there are mirrored address eg 2000 NE 102rd and 2000 102rd NE as we are on a grid. Transpose a few characters and the package is somewhere else.

I want to know who decided that was a good idea...

I've seen neighborhoods like that... what in the world were they thinking????? Even the people who live there cant figure out the addresses, how did they expect anyone else to find them????

That said, it's not the fault of the package carrier that the developer of the subdivision was an idiot.

I'm not sure how the American number system works, but how do you pronounce 102rd? One-Oh-Terd?

On a serious note, I know what that's like. I have a grandmother in ND who gets all my stuff shipped to her place, Fedex has messed up before. The whole 124th Street NE, S 122 (she lives on a farm) would confused the best of postal workers.
