PLAYED YESTERDAY...94 degrees!

dang it was hot. Played great on the front 9, got a little tired on the back. Messed up 10, 11, 13.....I was hot, and tired....slammed a bottle of water and that got me going again...finished strong...sank a 20 foot down hill putt for birdie on 18 to even the match.....no money was exchanged....I was down $5......

y'all ever play when its extremely hot?....

Of course I play when it's extremely hot - otherwise we just wouldn't get to play for like 5 months a year. Didn't get to play this past weekend, though. Maybe one day later this week.

I waited until 3-4 yesterday when the sun wasn't blazing. Around 90-92 I think.. Hot doesn't bother me, it was the humidity that was draining me.

Ended up only playing 9, but even then..

The things you get used to living in Georgia.

Played in Havasu with my cousins a couple years ago and it was like 112* or so. Also days of ~105* are not that unheard of here and heat has never stopped a round for us. It is a dry heat though.

Basically the same here. Teed off @ 10:45, done by 2:30. Didn't notice the heat as much, noticed how nicely my "wicking" golf clothes were working. If I'd been wearing typical cotton shorts/golf shirt I'd have sweat (or noticed the sweat) a lot more.

Ranger Rule: If you don't have to piss, you ain't drinking enough water.

In hot weather like we had here Saturday and Sunday, I make it a point to drink at least a bottle of water every 3 holes. Even more if I'm stupid enough to walk in hot weather.

Even then, sometimes I don't have to take a piss for several hours after I get home and load up on iced tea. And man, that is some concentrated urine.

Amen to the Nike Dri-Fit.. I really noticed how nice they worked, shirt didn't stick to me at all, and I wasn't overly uncomfortable and tacky. Bro liked his as well.

Now to find some nice khakis on sale somewhere that are lighter and nicer to wear out.

But then again, the cold beers every hole helped keep the heat subdued.

I live in central Mississippi, played in a tournament Saturday, around 93º's, absolutely no wind. It was miserable out there. The fact that I played like $hit probably didn't help. I ended up on a 1st name basis with the beverage cart girl. Every 3 holes she'd swing by, 1 bottle of Powerade, 3 Michalob Ultra's. I had on a wicking shirt and it did help, now I've just got to get some wicking khaki shorts.

The hotter the better! I seem to play my best when it's really hot... my worst when it's really cold. Plus the high heat keeps all the pansy's in the house and lets me have the course to myself

Well, come on down. The projected highs here today, tomorrow, and the day after are 97°, 98°, and 99°F respectively.
