Popping up my driver

I lose quite a bit of distance because the ball flight with my driver is so high. Yes I have a steep swing path and I don't want to change that. this game has not come easily for me.I d say it takes a normal person about a year to get where it took me four (just getting the ball in the air).

Sooo. is there a tip to combat this without changing my swing?

thank you.

since I am not very good (78-85 avg) I won't go too in depth with my advice...I usually struggle with my driver so I hit my 3-iron from all the tees and use it for long fairway shots as well. But maybe tweak your stance try standing closer to the ball or line your front foot with the ball...also I notice you use an 11 loft driver which seems high...Maybe demo out a 9.5 or a 10.5

How high do you tee up the ball. Also you could try placing the ball closer to the middle of your stance.

It's alright to have a steep swing path. It is not alright to hit the ball on the downswing with the driver. Ball position should take care of that despite your steep downswing. Play the ball off the left heel or even left toe if you are really steep. Don't move it back in the stance for sure. One cause of popping up the driver is coming in too steep. Fix that or accept the pop ups or get a driver with a higher loft. What is the loft on your driver by the way?

Two things.

Try teeing it lower and if that doesn't work.

Go to a low loft driver, maybe even down to 7º. Guy at work bombs them and he has to hit a low loft driver.

Maybe you have a pro's swing. Most of them use low lofts.

yea he is hitting a 11* driver so dropping loft might help. and a shaft change

Thanks for replies. My weapons have changed from whats on my signature. I use a 10 degree driver. I don't tee it up very high in fact, I'm one of those people who can hit driver off the deck. Sometimes I don't use a tee.

Lately I have been feeling as though The ball is too far away and I will try moving the ball up in my stance.

thanks everyone
