Worst Golf Infomercials....

Ok. As an avid watcher of The Golf Channel, I usually switch it when I see 'Paid Programming' Not today, boy do I regret it.

As I was making supper, I was watching an ad on a driver. Not just any driver....The HAMMER. (but hey,the Hammer is so effective, it turns a tee box into a launch pad)

It was brutal... Using terms like Triplekick shaft with smartsomething technology and a metal that's probably a billion times better than titanium (obviously) It was endorsed by some long driver guru, looked like a clown stuck in the 80s. Their claim to 'fame' was that the club is turned upside down, which is better (obviously).

I suggest buying one ASAP.
X-Factor Sports - Zolex Hammer Driver

So, that's my horror story. I'm sure there are more out there, what's yours?

exactly.

This thing guarantees 20-40yards extra off the drive.
I love how that guy just steps up and hits 400yd drives effortlessly on this commercial. It sounds like giving birth to a small infant, anally, every time he hits his clubs. What a goof.

NO WAY. Its all about the 1000cc's of BULLSHIT...lol

No, but that long driver guy that has a show or something, he has that upside down club. He also has the BLAOW club. A fricken 1000cc's...WTF

This club is like 400+ w/ no power at all. Tiger's swing would BLAOW it to 550+ easy w/ this club. Glad the USGA makes rules on this weird stuff.

Over in blighty they shut down "The Golf Channel UK" and replaced it with one of these golf infomercial thingies. JJB Sports Golf Channel is ALL about the infomercial.
At the moment they have got Tony Jacklin and Kenny Dalgleish(soccer legend) trying their hardest to convince us that the Slazenger F.A.S.T Hybrid Irons are the mutts nuts.
Then they wheel out Sam Torrance to try and convince us of the magical powers of The Slazenger K1 F.A.S.T Driver.
They get the stato guys out and test the driver on one of SAMS courses on a hole that SAM designed as a great test of the driver. 3 random guys get their old driver and smash it all over the park, and then they get one of these and smash 5 drives up the pipe and DEEP.
Its quite laughable, but entertaining all the same.
.....anyway, my K1 FAST is in the post.......hehe

Oh, they have also got Paul Casey touting the "SUMO 4950" Driver.....gotta buy that now too!

The bloody ball, raw meat Slazenger "Raw Distance" ball commercial gets my vote. Babe serves up a bloody ground up steak and egg drink and these two weight lifters go off to "pound it"!!

LOL! I think somebody here pointed out the funniest part of that commercial, which I hadn't noticed before: These two guys need another 3 dozen balls between them, at the turn!
