Need some feedback....blah

Hey all, got a question. First off, I have a good swing at the moment I have been hapy with. I went to the driving range 2 days ago after not swingign for about a week or two and started swinging. The first 1/4 of my bucket was hit great. Then all of a sudden, the last half of my balls or so were really bad...like not leaving the ground bad. I was not doing anythign different with my swing. anyway, I got done and noticed a nice...big..painful blister on my left thumb(I am right handed). anyway, went today because I had a day off and my blister was still painful apon holding the club. Anyway, I could not hit the ball well at all today...ball kept skipping across the ground or getting a nice loft but no distance. Can a blister screw with yuo game that much? Backswing felt fine...but my downswing made my blisted thumn hurt a bit.

Anyway, got a new glove a few weeks ago and I think it's not as snug as I'd like adn the lose glove has given my thumb a blister. Anyway, original question..can a painful blister on your left thumb screw with your game that bad? Probably causing my to loosen my grip when I swing even if I don't think I am....thoughts?

I would bet that after you were hitting all those nice shots you quit keeping your head down so you could quick watch them and started shanking. At least that's what happens when I go to a driving range...

i think for the most part when i'm not hitting well at the range is when i'm coming out of my spine angle. this means i'm trying to swing w/ my upper body. big no no.

i don't know how many balls you're hitting, but you shouldn't get any blisters if you're hitting less than 200balls. i've certainly hit close to 400balls in one day w/o any blisters. check your grip and grip pressure. it might be fine at set up, but you could be trying to kill it on the down swing.

also remember, hit down on the ball. or better yet, imagine you're trapping the ball w/ your club on the ground.

lol

I guess I wasn't being a s clear as I thought. It wasn't a blister on my left thumb. I simply rubbed about 2 or 3 layers of skin off and it hurt my left thumb like a bitc* when i started my down swing. I think I was letting my grip loose on the club and I couldn't get good connection because of this. I will wait until my thumb heals up and try again. I think part of the problem was my glove being a little in the loose side and it rubbed the crap out of my thumb. lol.
