my tiger moment was w/ par.

it was the first day i broke 90, 7th month after i started playing golf.
nice drive down the fw to about 150yd to the center of the green. hit it little long and the ball landed just on the green left upper side of the green. pin placement was on lower right corner. i pretty much had the longest putt you can possibly have on that hole. so i putt like i was chipping and the ball roll really smoothly, and down and down to the pin and dropped in the cup. i was doing fist pumps and what not... all by myself. no one was around to watch it, no one to tell.. and my 2nd birdie ever.

ended up w/ 88 i think.

Can Twofast pick mine?

I've got a few off the top of my head but one in particular comes to mind. More of a "Phil" shot than Tiger maybe though.

199 uphill par 3 with bunker on each side of the green. I pull a 3i bad, way left into the 17th fairway onto the upslope. Nowhere and I mean nowhere to go. Tree in front of me is as high as my 3 story building easy with thick branches. I decide to try over. 55* SW, weakened grip and wide open stance. Swing like I'm trying to drive a 300yd. par 4 with a 3W and catch it perfect. Flies over the tree and lands 10ft. below the hole on the green. Hole the putt for par.

Best par save I've ever made and ever seen, anywhere. Didn't really think it was possible to get the ball that high, that fast.

Was playing in a two man better ball tournament today and I hit a badly blocked drive into the fairway of the next hole. I had about 200 yards to the green, but tall trees blocked me angle to the green, my partner tells me to play it to the tee bok of the next hole since he has a decent shot. I actually have him play first so that if he got it on the green I could try something stupid. Well he puts it center of the green so I get up to my ball and he asks me what I am doing and I said aiming at the next tee and I'm going to hit a 40 yard hook onto the green. He kind of laughs and says "at least one of us can make par" well I hit this shot and just rip at it, the ball comes out perfectly and is heading right at the next tee (I had yelled up to the guys who were hitting back towards us so they wouldn't be in harm's way), and then the ball just starts turning. It cleared the trees and hit on the right side of the green and bounces straight across to the left side. So my partner is sitting with a fifteen foot birdie putt that he set up from the middle of the fairway and I have a seven foot birdie putt from where I was.

Had one today, played 9 after work with a buddy. On the 9th hole which is a par 4 I screwed up the tee shot a bit & was sitting off to the right in some decent sized rough & the green is also uphill about 10'. GPS was reading 189 yds to the center of the green & the pin was way back. The reading coincided with the sprinkler heads also. Figured I would try 5 iron because I had been hitting it well & usually can put it somewhere between 170-175 & I was thinking it would be nice to just get on the front edge of the green. Nailed it perfectly & the ball took off, cleared the bunker & dove downward, can't see the leading edge of the green due to the bunker as well as the elevation.

I was happy because I cleared the bunker & figured the ball was probably sitting just off the green or on the fringe. Got a bit closer & didn't see my ball, my buddy tells me "there it is, back side of the green about 7' from the pin". I basically told him "no frickin way, cause that's somewhere around 195 yds w a 5 iron". Sure as shit it was my titleist NXT, I was so pumped that I missed the birdie putt & had to settle for par. That shot was an easy 15yds further than I have ever hit my 5 iron.

The one that sticks out in my mind was about to weeks after the Buick Open a couple of years ago. You remember the shot Tiger hit out from under the trees that stayed low, than balloned over a bunker tight to the pin?

Hole eight at a local club I play is a difficult par 4. 400 yards from the back tees with a difficult fairway; its probably 20 yards wide between the trees. I hit a shot into the left trees, about 150 out. I had to keep it low, and only had an opening that had me aiming 20 feet right of the greenside bunker on the right. I remembered Tiger's shot, how he hit down hard on a mid iron. I aimed out to the right, hit down hard on a choked up 7 iron. It came out perfect, low and right at my spot, and started drawing and ballooning up at the same time right after it cleared the trees. It ended up on the back of the green, about ten feet from the pin.

That's a shot I'll never forget.

My brother and I were finishing up 9 holes, and the last hole is a par 3. I had a bad first shot, but my second shot chip was 2 inches from the hole, I mean right there. So my brother has to nail his 25 foot putt downhill and a bad slope. Long story short, he nailed it and won by a stroke and if I had two more inches it could have been tied, but his putt was amazing and intense, a great moment.

My most memorable shot was from about 7 years ago in high school golf. We were playing this match and the last hole was a short par 3, 145 yards, to a small green over some water. After everybody finished their round they would stand behind the green and watch the rest finish. I was one of the last groups, so there were 20-30 people standing behind the green. I took an 8 iron, flushed it and watched it sail toward the flag. Landed 3 feet long and backed up to 2 feet. When the ball hit I could hear everybody gasp, and others were saying nice shot as I walked toward the green. It was a cool moment and the time when I have most felt like a professional golfer. I drained the birdie, but I think it was the toughest 2 footer of my life.

Definitely not my best shot, but my favorite one.

a couple pop into my head but i will go with the first since it was a called shot.

80 yds out on a par 5 pi on the left side with the wind right to left and green sloping the same way.
i turn to my partner and tell him."i gonna hit a 3/4 50* at the right center of the green let the wind carry it to the middle then it will feed to the hole."

after i hit the shot i knew it was going to be decent but when it hit the green i knew it was almost as i called it.it ended up 10" short for a tap in bird.

So you had 59 Tiger shots, and 22 "others?"

I've had a few that I could call "Tiger" shots, but the most recent was just last week. 1st hole on my home course, 371 yards, dogleg left, par 4. I planned a draw off the tee, hit it dead straight, ends up about 10 feet behind a small evergreen, no shot at the green without big banana hook or slice (about equal either way).

The safest miss is right so I aim that way and try to hit some kind of a draw to get as close as possible to the green.

Of course, instead of the draw, I push it even farther right, and now I'm right next to a bunker by the 10th green, with 60 yards of rough between me and a pin just 12 feet onto the green. To boot the ball has settled all the way down into the thick, 2-1/2 inch rough.

I take out my trusty Cleveland 56° SW, take a couple of practice swings to "feel out" the rough, then make a mighty pass at the ball. The ball leaps up out of the rough, lands in the rough just short of the fringe, bounces onto the green and rolls to a stop 8 inches left of the hole, leaving a tap in for a routine par.

I call it the Tiger shot just because it was wild off the tee, worse after the "recovery", then the miracle up and down from an impossible position.

I've never really had a Tiger shot until I watched the US Open. That very weekend, out with my usual foursome, I stood at the tee on the 3rd hole (a dogleg right, 185 to the top of the hill). It's all up hill so I pulled out my trusty Adams 7 wood, teed up and let it rip...directly into the woods on the right! How was this a Tiger shot, you ask? I grimaced the minute I hit it! I just learned something, I don't know how to spell 'grimaced'. Thank you spell check!
