Lyle and gwlee.I know you guys are right and I'm trying to do that . It sure can be tough
after a couple of crappy rounds....The first order of business has been the grip and grip pressure, to make sure they are the same.

Thanks for all the input guys.

And Jeff I do have a Scotty, I'm not sure it helps me putt better, but it does give me a warm fuzzy feeling....

This is great advice for anyone who wants to lower their score.

Chipping is probably the fastest way to shave strokes in the short term. Eliminating the chili dip and the thin (which almost guarantee failing to get up-and-down) are some of the easier things you can do. Spend an hour or two focusing on hitting your chips squarely, and then think only about that when you're on the course. Most 10+ handicappers aren't hitting many greens--and they probably aren't leaving themselves particularly easy par putts. Around the green, they are also probably not hitting down on the ball enough and don't have the ball far enough back in their stances. Hands forward, descending blow, constant spine angle.

I agree with that 100%. I have taken a more agressive approach to the ball. For some reason I like an aggressive swing.

That is don't be tentative when you swing. Always swing aggressively even if playing a conservative shot. You may not always hit a good shot swinging aggressively, but you will almost always hit a bad one swinging tentatively. Aim, commit, and swing. Never doubt it, never be afraid to hit the ball, this is guaranteed failure.
