Irish is on a distinguished road
really enjoyable 2 rounds of golf. As IG stated I played real well on the first eighteen, three birdies on the back nine and missed a few on the front nine but 79 was a great score for me...

second course we decided to have a little match and IG turned it on..we didn;t really keep score on the second course but he must have been one or two over for the round.. we went three up after 3 and I could never really get it back as I was really struggling with the driver and lost about 5 balls due to errand drives, whereas I was in the fairway for most of the first round...that said still had 3 birds on the second course but IG was relentless and the closet I got it back to was 2 holes he then birdied the index one with two great shots to go 3 up and he was dormie 5, I managed to win the 14th with a bird but we split the 15th in bogey and that was that...a comprehensive 4&3 victory to IG...

Hopefully he has fine tuned his timing during the 36 so that he can peak for his matchplay final tomorrow..

Anyway a great days golf was had and cheers to IG for bringing me out on what is a beautiful course...

Sounds like a fine time. These get-togethers are one of the greatest things about Shottalk. I've played golf with five ST'ers from around this country, and hope to tee it up with many more.

I only snapped a couple of photos. Here's Irish with some FT-i action on 9 and his tee shot on 13. Check those rags man!!

Oh and he snapped me on 13, (he could have at least told me that my bloody shirt was hanging out!!). These pics were taken over the Riverside course in the afternoon. None from the morning I'm afraid.

Check out that blue sky (a rarity these days).

Well done guys at the uberfast 36 holes. Great shooting Irish - 7 birds is exceptional around that track. I don't think us southern guys are cut out for 36 holes up there - I seem to remember playing alright in the morning over the riverside course and then falling flat on my face in the afternoon.

IG any word on the matchplay final ?
