Read this statement from Sean O'Hair's father

http://www.thegolfchannel.com/core.a...5&select=17079

The kid is really coming into his own now - having won $1.8M already this season.

Now the old man comes along with this statement which he faxed to The Golf Channel yesterday.

A real class act.

What an effing moron.

Why write that? Proves he's even more of a dick than I thought he was.

It's people like that that I wish would get hit by a bus. Or, failing that, have their nuts stapled to a desk and then pushing them off.

I'm glad Sean stepped up and gave his "dad" the finger with the win a few weeks back...

That is priceless! Wasn't this the guy that was quoted in threatening his son with media blasts if/when he made it?

What a confused, drivel of a letter. It meandered through self-righteousness, self-pity, excusing his son, blaming him, an obvious effort to gain reprieve from the media to a hearty middle finger aimed at them to call off the reprieve.

This man is an obvious psychopath. But damn, isn't it fun to see his arse?!

I'm a firm believer that there are two sides to every story.

But I think this one is an exception. Who's he trying to impress with this crap anyway. Too late to close the barn door now dad, your prize horse is already gone.

Best thing here, I reckon, would be for this weirdo to shut up, media to ignore him if he does pipe up and for his son to keep his distance and not make any further public comment on his history.

Might be tough when Hollywood comes calling...

Let that be a lesson to all parents out there - love your kids first, and yourself second.

A parent would never defend his actions against his kid. A parent would do anything and everything he could to retain the close bond he has with his child. This is a really a sad story. I can kinda relate, since I am not close to my mom and don't really even know my father. I am lucky thought because I love my father-in-law like he has been my father my whole life. I am truly lucky and I think Sean probably feels the same way.

The biggest lesson I learned from my childhood was to make sure that my son Cameron and I build and grow a very special father-son bond that will hopefully last forever.

Anyways enough soppy shit.... the real question is should I be using headcovers or not???
