Very true, was watching the LPGA the other day and saw one player hit a hybrid from 156 out! Thats nuts-it was like a 9 hybrid or something-btw it landed middle of the green about 15ft from the pin... i guess i'd take that

I'm more like 7.3%

It just irks me when numbers that are so skewed get thrown out there. In my last few rounds I've hit 3 greens.... 182 with 8i, 202 with 6i and 315 with 3w along with a 339yd. drive on a par 5. Are those my numbers? Hardly, more like 155 8i, 180 6i, 240 3w and 260 driver, carry.

I agree Ez, you remember me ragging people on GR about this I am sure

I hit my irons like a chick

PW-115
9 - 125
8 - 135
7 - 145
6 - 155
5 - 165
4H - 177
3H - 190
5W - 205
3W - 220
D - 250-270

Long enough to score in the 70's on a 7000 yard track, and lower on a 6500 set up. Besides its all I got LOL.

Totally honest and up to date distance breakdown?

Here goes:

Driver-290-310
TS-260-270
3i-235-240
4i-225-230
5i-210-215
6i-190-200
7i-175-185
8i-165-170
9i-150-160
PW-135-150
GW-120-135
SW-100-115
GW-0-90

Thats roughly. Again, remember, I'm a mile high.

Well Lyle, I'm 5 yards shorter then you with everything but I don't care. IMHO, as long as you know what you hit each iron you've got a handle on this game....

PW-110
9 - 120
8 - 130
7 - 140
6 - 150
5 - 160
4H - 170
3H - 195
3W - 220
D - 250-270

The hybrids, 3-wood and driver distances have only been in the last two weeks or so. I use the PW for everything inside 110 and the SW for the sand only. My putter distance is pretty long though...

Seriously I think I can get a few yards by getting wider and not hanging back. The two are related I believe. Its easier to shift forward through hitting zone if one is wide creating space on backswing. I WILL work on this.

The hardest part of the creating space issue is it creates tension for me and my "pop" has increased by relaxing hands and slinging club. Large muscles get tension and fine control muscles stay relaxed. Opposites. Tap your head and rub your tummy sort of thing.

This is what I've been doing with my waggle. I get everything loose, especially my hands, wrists and forearms. Makes a big difference, clubhead is whipping through impact now. I didn't realize until after I'd got done at the range today, I hadn't worn a glove. I think the glove is getting my grip too tight, going to try without one for a little while.

Yep, I ditched the glove too. See no reason for it. My hands are tough enough for golf grip, and I lose feel. For me, staying loose is at the top of the swing is difficult. My old habit is to get over anxious to smack the ball and tense up to start the vicious cut down. Leads to over the top, casting, tension, and having to put my socks back on.

Relax and stay on balance is my mantra.

Acer pro series irons

Received my Acer XP905 pro series irons today. Look sharp. I had some stepped Precision FCM 5.5 shafts that fit right in. Will grip tomorrow ( Sharpro multi-compound) try out and report.

You probably hit down on your irons more than I do, and possibly on your woods as well. I am a sweeper so my woods benefit from this greatly, the irons not so much. If I replace 5 divots a year I am doing well.
