Kenny Perry

Good call??
Currently in merry old England it would be about 58 raining and some over par golf
Currently in Wisconsin it appears to be clear and 72......a beautiful day for golf.

I'd rather play on a Course which is a real test of golf with the chance of winning a Major and going down in history as a Major winner than playing on another Resort - Target golf style course in a Tourney nobody will remember the winner of next week! To each there own if he's scared of a bit of rain & wind and doesn't think he has enough game to tackle it then he might as well top up his Sun tan other there....he won't be missed this side of the Pond.

Wind & Rain is a great test for your game I'd love to be playing Berkdale Today...I'm pretty sure IG & Andy79 have played in much tougher conditions than these today.

And I'm sure that's no skin off his back.

I'm sure your right and I won't be posting in this Thread again. In my opinion he's a Tosser for turning down the chance to play in a Major but to each there own. If it wasn't for Tiger a 46 Year old would have won the US Open so his age means nothing especially with him being the Worlds Form player at the moment.

I have a lot of respect for Heath Slocum travelling over as 1st alternate, he's got a game and is giving a good account of himself +3 after 14. David Duval has also made a good start +2 through 14...I've not seen him for a while he's certainly 'filled' out abit. Nice to see him in a little bit of form, he's somebody I have a lot of time for. The good weather will be here this afternoon so somebody might go low. I'm enjoying it so far.

EDIT;-- Don't worry about Boo We've got KFC's over here so he can get a Bargain Bucket or two!!!

Pretty ironic when you consider Kenny Perry is from Kentucky.

At least somebody made it over from Kentuky, good old Colonel Harland D Sanders

EDIT:- Wasn't gonna post in this Thread again as I don't want to fall out with anybody but this is on the lighter side.

play nice
just making a simple weather observation

KP should win this week against a weak field......so he made a plan for when and where he would play and has turned that into three wins......he made a plan for the year and has stuck to it reaching his ultimate goal of playing in the ryder cup......most people can't make a plan for one round and stick to it.

wind and rain are a test to playing golf? So if I played in a hurricane in FL, does that make me a man? Seriously screw playing in 30 mph winds. What is the point? Of course I'll play in the rain but seriously

I wish everyone would get off of Perry's back. He can do whatever he wants he doesn't owe anyone anything. That is the good thing about golf you are not on a team you are an individual and get to make your own decisons.

Yep, I have no problem with Kenny Perry, he can do what he wants. Rich Beem and Sandy Lyle walking off though is disgraceful

I know Lyle quit because of a bad back and wet glasses (spectacles to you...)

What was the Beemer's excuse?

Couldn't be. I saw John Daly was still finishing his round. Gotta give JD his props, he is +20something, hurt and basically playing with one arm and he still manned up and finished his round.

Gotta agree. I've played in glasses for over 20 years now in some horrendous weather and it never caused me to give up. If his back was really bothering him then I could understand. I have a bad back too and though I've never chucked it in mid-round there have been a couple times I've been close.
