Oh one other thing... rules clarification. Is it 13 clubs and a putter in the bag.... or 13 clubs counting the putter?

What did you think of it? Obviously winning helps, but how do you compare it to the golf that you've played before?

Not sure exactly, but either your opponent is not allowed to ask you or you are not allowed to tell your opponent which club you hit...

I had a really good time. Turned out my opponent was someone that I've been paired with before and just played with, good guy so we had fun with it. I won the first hole and from there we were back and forth, but I was never behind. I was either 1 up or AS until the 8th and I went 2 up. I was 3 up with 4 to play. He birdied 15, we halved 16, and I won 17 to close it out. He hit some bad shots and I really think is confidence took a hit and I knew if I could just keep the ship steady I should be able to close it out.

As far as perspective goes... it's a LOT different standing over a ball and know that it really counts. Especially pressure putts and important tee shots. I honestly think that helped my game a lot though, because I played really well today. I made myself focus on every shot and really "grinded". I never got lazy with a single shot, even backed off a tee shot cause I didn't feel "right" standing over the ball. Sure I hit a few bad shots, put I was able to put them behind me and focus on the task at hand. A lot of the input I got on my "anger management" thread helped a lot. All in all I had a blast, win or lose.

Um, hello? Asking for or giving advice is a violation of Rule 8.1. Penalty in match play is loss of hole.

And what would the penalty be if one person asked & the other answered? Would they both lose the hole??????

BTW, I posted the above before it was clairfied 100% that it's illegal/immoral/improper & will result in the immediate castrating of anyone involved in such behavior.

Good question!

I think the person who asked would lose the hole. Since at that point the hole is ended, the other person can say na-na-na-na-na! It was a 6-iron, LOSER!
