Question Question for the GB&I re: "Heathland" Course

Throughout the Women's British Open, the announcers have stated that Sunningdale is a "heathland" course, which is different from a "parkland" course.

Can someone enlighten me on how heathland courses differ from parkland courses?

Google was not my friend on this particular occasion.
