Depending on when & or where, I would be interested.
Early spring is still pretty damn cold in St Louis. I hit Dallas end of feb & when I played early moring it was 48-49º when I teed off. I have relatives in TX, MS, SC & FL so any of those would be fantastic.

Great, I'm glad to see so much interest. Anytime of the year is good for me. All I have to do is know in advance and put in for vacation time. In order to make this agreeable to as many as possible, I say we aim for something mid spring, that way all interested can plan ahead and schedule vacation or comp. time as needed.

I guess what we need is to find a course that considers it's self somewhat of a resort. That way we'd probably come closer to getting the multible tee times. May have to set it up as a Tournament of sorts but I kind of like the sound of that anyway. The Official Shot Talk Hackers Tournament,

But if we keep pooling our ideas I think we can pull this off.

I think a resort would be good...maybe we could get a discount on rooms for booking all the rooms at once?

Possibly a package deal for the golf and rooms so people know what theyre getting into money wise before they book flights and all that jazz

Four great Nicklaus courses (Bear Trace) and some great deals. I've played Harrison Bay and it was a superb golf course. If you're looking for inexpensive, it doesn't get much better than cabin rentals at a State Park.

That looks great to me, ok, if we chose to have it here, who all thinks they could make it? Just for the sake of $hits and giggles say it was planned for the 2nd weekend in April of 09. Who all would like to try and plan for and commit to this? Planning this far ahead, I'm certain we could reserve the course for half a day for a Shot Talk Hackers Tourny if we have enough people committed. Hmmmmm, committed may be a bad choice of wording considering this bunch,

yep thats what happen to me.. got down to the low 80's before the kid... 3 rounds a week turned into maybe 1 round a month.. and my scores show it..now i cant break 90... but its worth it

If we could push it back to the end of April I could do it, but I don't get out of Med school until then. I am not asking you to change an event based on me but I think what might be helpful is to make a polling type deal like has been done for what type of clubs do you play and why. Then give it a few weeks with a sticky post to see how many people would be A interested, B able to actually do it, and C when works best for them. Then you simply look at the weekend that works for the most people and we go for it. I don't know how to start one of those polls but I think that if we wanted to get a large outing planned, and I think it sounds like a terrific idea this might be our best bet for doing so.
