eBay Fakes?

I've read here about fake clubs being sold on eBay, but having just bid on some new golf balls, I'm wondering... are the Chinese also cranking out fake golf balls? That'd seem to be trivial compared to faking a club.

Thanks.

Fake golf balls are every bit as rampant as fake clubs. Fake shafts are also a huge problem on e-bay.

Ebay used to be such a great, admirable place back in the day...i usually dont even bother there anymore unless i have a great deal of knowledge on the product already...even then...

They re-paint cheap golf balls. You can tell fakes by the dimple patterns etc.

A lot of fake balls are clones no different that what is going on with clubs. Just a cheap plastic type of core and a cover that looks virtually identical to the real thing, until you hit it of course. I had a fake pro-v1 someone gave me to see and you could not tell it apart from a real one based on looks. It felt a little different though, but this does you no good when buying off e-bay.
